Day 9 - Wednesday 15 February - Fun Day at Sea

Was awake for a fair while in the middle of the night, stressing about All The Things. Although did wake up five minutes before the alarm which was handy.

Had a buffet breakfast although it wasn't as nice as yesterday (soggy wedges instead of crispy hash browns). Got pissed at the table cleaning dude wandering up and down sniffing and coughing and not wearing a mask. HAVE PEOPLE LEARNED NOTHING FROM COVID????

Then went down to the Red Frog Pub to join the Crafty Cruisers group to make a headband and fascinator for tonight's dinner. That was a bit of fun, altho the helper on my table pretty much didn't want to talk to me much.

Then had to quickly finish up because someone mentioned it was 10:00 and time for Naked Astromony to start. It was on eclipses which was pretty cool. Of course there were people in the audience coughing with no masks on. HAVE PEOPLE LEARNED NOTHING FROM COVID????

Came back to the room to catch up on yesterday's blogging and photo stuffs.

Went up for lunch and sat with Yvonna and Rick.

Then down to Photography with Michael, which as per usual took up most of the afternoon. Which was fine, as I had nothing else to do anyway.

Came back to the room and got ready for the Roaring 20's night, which was a good excuse to pull out the tassel dress I got for our last cruise on the Queen Mary 2. May as well get some use out of it :) And by "get ready" I mean throw on the dress and the fascinator I made today. No makeup, and sandals. Winning!!

Had dinner with Hayley and Lynn and Kevin. Service was better tonight. I had Alligator Beignets which were nice but not sure they tasted like alligator (Hayley reckons they don't anyway), grilled chicken and veggies which was nice but I probably should have had the ribs, and apple pie for dessert.

I went for a little walk up on deck 9 but didn't get too far before the bartender from yesterday wanted me to stay and buy drinks and go for a swim. Ha. Maybe another night. Been so damned busy.

Then met up with the others again to see Mark Simmons, who to be honest I didn't find all that funny. Also at least half a dozen people in the audience were coughing. FFS people stay away from crowds if you're sick, or at least wear a damned mask and *try* and keep your germs to yourself. HAVE PEOPLE LEARNED NOTHING FROM COVID????
