Woke up around 4 for ages. Finally woke up around 6:09 - twenty or so minutes before the alarm was due to go off. Looked at our location and were just outside the harbour at St Thomas. So quickly threw on some clothes, waking David in the process, and we watched our arrival in St Thomas, as well as the arrival of Carnival Celebration behind us.

Went and had some breakfast in the buffet then got ready. I also downloaded the GPS and the Canon photos.
We left the ship maybe around 8:45.

Our first stop was the cable car (we got there as it opened at 9:00). It's pretty expensive ($24.95) but the view is spectacular. We got some amazing shots and this made the whole day worth it.

We went back to the ship to grab a light early lunch (some quite nice fresh pepperoni pizza) and I dropped off the tshirt and G5X and picked up my sunnies.
Then we began a long slow meander into Charlotte Amelie. We took lots of photos along the way and it rained a couple of times too.

We had a look at Fort Christian, Emancipation Park and the Liberty Bell copy, the 99 Steps (all 102 of them), Blackbeard's Tower (still closed after four years), and the Lutheran church.

We were going to go up the cable car again (because the tickets are all day passes). Except by 15:15 they'd closed. Til Monday. Lame.
So stopped at the Smoking Rooster opposite the ship for a rum punch, which made David pretty tipsy hehe.
Got back on the ship and went and had another rum punch just because :)

We watched us sail away out of St Thomas which was pretty cool.

Then I jumped in the pool cause it was that kind of day. The pool was lovely and warm which was nice. Then it started raining so people cleared out of the spa so I went and got in that for a bit. But then I started getting hungry, and when someone started coughing all over the place I was all kinds of NOPE and we went and got ready for dinner.
Dinner was in the restaurant, but even after four days not all staff got the memo that the entire cruise is anytime dining, and she tried to make us wait an hour, so we went downstairs and in we went. We sat with Byron and Dana, and another couple David knew, and another couple at the far end who were too far away to talk to. I had arancini balls, veal marsala and lemon torte.
I then came back to the room to do some washing and wonder why my ankles were so red, possibly from missing putting on sunscreen, but it looks a little too uneven for that so who knows.
Wrote up the day in my notebook, but was too tired to pull out the laptop.
