We looked around from the rim from a few places, then we went for a walk part way down into the canyon along the Bright Angel Trail.

There were squirrels everywhere which were very cute. We had some pecan cookies that we fed them.

There were quite a few mule teams going up and down the canyon. I would have a liked to have had a ride, but didn't get to.

We didn't get all the way down to the Colorado River - it would have taken too long, so we came back up.
Got to see the canyon in the afternoon sun, before staying the night in a motor lodge near the canyon.
