Had a super busy morning packing and getting organised and doing some last minute house stuffs. And it was still a last minute rush to get out the door by 11:15. The sweetie gave me a lift to Jolimont. Gonna miss the sweetie.

All my packing for the trip spread out on the dining room table
The way Murrays fill the seats is a little odd. Sometimes they put people next to other people when there's double seats free. I guess they like to leave a couple of pairs of seats in case people book together. Anyway, I had someone next to me but she moved once the bus didn't fill up. Left right on 12:00. Part way up the Hume (might have still been Federal Highway), this little truck pulled alongside us and was beeping away. Presumably he'd noticed some problem with the coach. Anyway when there was a place to stop the coach pulled up and the driver got out and there was a slamming of a door at the back. Maybe something wasn't closed properly? Shrug.

Oops, I got through a quarter of my book before I'd even arrived in Sydney
When we got out of the M5 tunnel I freaked out slightly because we came out in the middle of this massive interchange with like three levels of overpasses. I had no idea where we were. Turns out, new exit to the tunnel, in St Peters. Bizarre stuff. Every time I come to Sydney something significant has changed.

This multilayer overpass system blew my mind when I got out of the M5 East Tunnel - I'd never seen it before or even knew that it was under construction
Arrived in Sydney on time. This time near Railway Square, so hunted around for the entrance to the Devonshire Street tunnel (hidden by construction work) and found it and walked through. Short wait for a train (which was infested with school kids, and noone wearing masks) then to Mum's.

Checked into my flights tomorrow, then we had dinner (sweet and sour pork with noodles Mum got from the village). Then went for a walk around the fruits of the spirit. Then had some dessert.

Watched A Current Affair then had a look at Mum's computer. Deleted ScreenService.Client which sure didn't look good. Dunno if there's any other dodgy stuff on there. Then had a look at her Facebook because she can't seem to post more than two photos at a time. Yet I tried with four from my computer and it worked ok. Getting her to try it with resized and smaller files rather than the huge originals.
And now I get to try and sleep in this sauna. I wanted aircon but the batteries are flat because she never uses it. She has two air conditioners here that have basically never been used. And the village will throw them out soon as part of their standard cycle of replacements. Such a waste. So I get a fan. hrmmm. Wish me luck.
