How come I have Terminator 2 on dvd, yet I watch it on tv (like now) when it's on? Where is the logic in that? The good thing about watching things on tv is that you can get stuff done (like blogging) in the ad breaks. They're actually playing the special edition version with all the extra scenes. Extended cuts of movies seem to be getting more and more popular on tv these days.

Got the place a little tidier today. Still a lot of work to go though :/

I have no other inspiration for this entry, I was counting on the Friday Five for something to post. damned flipping. The only alternative is to whinge about crap like people pissing me off and being home alone on a Friday night. sigh.

Just finished watching Good Will Hunting. ok movie. Switched over to Armageddon. Utterly ridiculous movie. Yet somehow I find myself watching it every time it's on. hrm. And two Ben Affleck movies in a row.

Was quite amazed at the response to my first Theme Thursday entry.. I haven't had that many unique posts in ages.. if ever! Thanks everyone.

While I'm on it.. check out the Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics page for Armageddon. Very cool site.

So I'm ordering a pizza, and they've introduced a voice recognition system which is just not what I'm expecting, so makes my slightly fuzzy brain start to think things are weird with the universe. Of course it doesn't help that I've had a couple of drinks. Not that many, but still weird. And this is after watching a couple of scenes of ET that I'm sure I've never seen before. OK so I've only seen the movie like twice in my life, once at the movies when I was 9 and again a few years ago. But I generally have a fairly good memory for movies and I'm quite sure these scenes are new. I guess that's why they call it special edition.

Had our work Christmas party today, which was altogether pleasant, except of course for the flies. Tip to newbies: flies appear to be more attracted to prawns than anything else, so to stop them trying to eat the rest of your food, empty a few prawn shells onto a plate and let the flies swarm around that :)

off to go get my pizza... mmmm pepperoni pizza... mmmmmm :)

Jason Isaacs in The Patriot

Hands up anyone who thinks Jason Isaacs is yummy.. :)
And deliciously evil in movies like Harry Potter and even Dragonheart
:)
Been watching Dragonheart tonight .. I *love* that movie.

David Thewlis who plays Einon in Dragonheart will be in the next Harry Potter movie as Lupin. I so can't wait for "the Prisoner of Azkaban" - it's my favourite of all the Harry Potter books. I can't say why though, it'd spoil the surprise.

Check this out - if you're in oz you can get a .id.au domain for free for six months.

Need to add a few lines to this so the pic doesn't scroll into the next entry..

Aside from that, I really have nothing to say .. how boring is that.

Order of the Phoenix

..til the next Harry Potter book goes on sale. I haven't decided if I'll buy it yet or not. I'm dying to read the story, but I was wanting to wait til the 7th book comes out so I can get the whole set together.

Plus it'll be a Saturday which would mean confronting shopping centres which is never a good thing on a weekend at the best of times. I wonder how popular it will be on its first day. I suspect that this one will sell even quicker than previous ones because of the two movies that have been released since the last book was released, and I'm sure more people have taken up an interest in the books since (I know I did).

Went rollerblading today. Went for forty minutes straight. It felt so slooow though - we used to hoon around the park in like 15 min flat, but it took 40 min to do two laps :( At least I didn't get passed by any other rollerbladers, not that there were too many around, but I did pass a couple of others, so that was good :) Have decided I need to get fit, and this is the only exercise I've ever been able to bring myself to do. Plus I was inspired after ice skating the other night to get back into practice :)
