Day 24 - Tuesday 1 January - Caribbean to New York Day 2

Actually slept reasonably well for a change. Slept through til about 7am.

Went and took a photo of the pool in the Canyon Ranch spa before it opened so there wouldn't be anyone there, although they yelled NO VIDEO at me, even though THERE WAS NOONE THERE. Le sigh.

Grabbed a bread roll and came back to the room.

Went and had a look at the jigsaw situation. There was a new one going - a collage of ocean liners, mostly Cunard, which had had the edge done and the pieces turned over but not much done. So worked on that for a while. At 9:00 I went round the corner and picked up a planetarium ticket. Then continued on with the jigsaw.

At 10:00 went to Dr Fred Brody's next talk on nostalgia - Your good old days - memorable? magical? or mythical? This wasn't as good as the other two, but wasn't too bad.

Then back to the jigsaw where dude from yesterday was working on it. And we finished it by lunch time :)

Had lunch with the sweetie, a fairly small lunch because white chocolate fountain!

Headed down to the planetarium only to find they'd been cancelled due a "technical fault". Doh.

Came back to the room (via a bit of a sit down at the Pavilion) and we watched New Years Eve, basically a rip off of Love Actually. It started off a bit dumb but got better.

Read for a while, and watched the sunset on the balcony, with Henkell.

The sweetie went to bed and Helen and I went to the Chart Room for a while. Then we met up with Bryan and Jan in the Queens Room for a while. This is where I got pretty upset with Cunard. They had a massive champagne glass tower people were pouring champagne into. But. At the end of it all they took all the glasses away and tipped them down the sink.

!!

Such a waste. Their excuse for not sharing: it's "warm and flat". Le sigh.

Then kicked on for a while at G32 with Helen. Pretty late night.
