My arms hurt from all the exertion yesterday .. hrmmmm...

Wasted plenty of time today.  Got a few things done too, but not much.  Got about half way through going through my Japan photos and selecting highlights for showing people.  Well a first pass go through.  They will still need more culling so people that we subject them to don't die of boredom.  And then when that's done will pick out the best of the highlights and update the blog entries.  I said I'd do that with our Europe photos too, so that will have to be next...

Electric blankie is waiting for me... :)

I hate CSS!!

ARgghhh!  CSS is enough to drive anyone to tear their hair out!!

Been working on a template thingie for displaying photos in a polaroid kind of a style.  Terribly frustrating.

Which is why I'm not a web designer.. I'd probably give myself an ulcer :/
I told myself I was going to go to bed early tonight and read some of Stu's book club book.

But after algaeciding the pool, doing washing, cleaning bathrooms, cooking dinner, rotating photos, opening all my snail mail, watching House, unpacking, reading news feeds, downloading bank statements, figuring out what was on bank statements and generally running my poor little puta out of memory, it's suddenly 10:37pm.  Doh!!

The pool is nearly overflowing from the rain today, which is somewhat annoying since I spent ages yesterday topping it up.  Be a major waste of water if it does overflow.

I'm nearly half way through looking at all my photos of the trip and rotating the vertical ones.

Now really must go to bed, since I have a bit of a sore throat, and getting sick again now would be no fun whatsoever...

It was a gorgeous day today.

So I spent most of it inside on or fighting with the computer.

Oops.

So I actually took 570 photos at Damien's wedding.  Stu took another 267. Will post some tomorrow.

Spent the afternoon alternating between getting insanely frustrated with our net connection that can't connect properly to Google Maps, and cleaning the pool.  With Google Maps, more often than not we just get a SYN_SENT and then nothing else.  So we tried removing the wireless router that was in series with the other router.  So far it seems a bit more reliable.  So spent the evening adding heaps of places into the Tokyo section and sorting it out.  Our Google Map has enough on it to keep us occupied for about six months... not quite sure what we're going to get to see from it in just two weeks...

Tonight I watched Skyfire from the balcony.  Really must go in one year to watch it up close..

600

Was Damien's wedding today.  I think I took about six hundred photos, in my role as "official" photographer.  Can't wait to download them all, but not tonight - far too tired! :)  But it was a very pleasant evening.  Had dinner at Bella Vista.  Ate far too much!  Very very full!
First up, we have a four-legged spider.  !!
Well that's what it looked like walking across the floor.  Like something had gotten a few of its legs (and its head!)

Here's an early photo from Stu's camera of a cockatoo in a tree in our front yard

Mine isn't quite a comparison because I didn't use a flash.  No colour enhancement here.

Stu looked almost professional-like taking photos of the birds :)

And then we went to Nat and Andrew's where everyone started comparing the sizes of their .. lenses .. hehe

Balloons!

After being kept up til 1am by work crap, I didn't think I'd be able to wake up in the morning at stoopid-o'clock.  So I smsed Annie and said I wasn't likely to be going.  But at 5:39am I woke up naturally, so decided to get up and go.

It was pretty cool.  Was prettier than when we went last year because the sun came out!  So got some colour.  Took an entire roll of film (200-odd photos).. here's fifteen of them :)

The owners/operators of the Cathay Pacific balloon let their kids walk around inside the balloon.  Looked pretty awesome, I'd love to have gone in too!

Mosaicing...

Half the reason I'm back into Lego mosaicing at the moment is because of Eric Harshbarger (whose site I recently visited again from a link I have on one of my homepages).  Seriously, the dude is my hero.

He's also the reason I discovered Mazaika.  The last time I used Mazaika I only had 11000 photos that I gave it to index.  Five years later and I could easily give it nearly 100000 photos!  (although some of those would be repeats due to resizing).

So anyway it's busy indexing.

Worked some more on the Lego mosaic tonight, and may have finished the bulk of the coloured bit, but Grant and Jen came over to pick up the work phone, so Grant and Stu went and had cigars out the back.
Sunrise this morning was very pretty.. Mount Ainslie was covered in cloud..

Slightly less pressure at work today (apart from one deadline that we looked a little too close to missing), so did a bit of catching up with things.

Windy came in with a box set of Roald Dahl books (the Phizz-Whizzing Collection) - 15 books!  For $50!  Was too good value to pass up, so popped down and got myself a copy.  Will probably read these after Star Trek.

Nat and Andrew came over for dinner and a movie tonight.  Natto wanted to read Fantastic Mr Fox, and ended up reading my original copy, the one illustrated before Quentin Blake came along..

We played some Take 2, then ordered pizza and pasta for dinner.  The pasta was pretty fail tho..

We couldn't find Lost in Translation (it's probably still packed somewhere), so we ended up watching Jurassic Park.

And then finally talked about Japan a bit, got frustrated over syn_sent errors, and looked at some of our honeymoon photos.

And now it's well and truly tomorrow...
