A google search on "Black Mountain Tower" brings up my holiday photo page on conspiracy from last year (here) as number 3! Go figure. I have no idea why, really, it's got two mentions of the place on the whole page, yet it ranks really highly in Google. Spins me out.
Didn't quite get around to posting last night, I realised after I'd turned the monitor off. Of course then I couldn't really be bothered as it was way past my bed time anyway. As it is I've got nothing to say anyway. Oh well, so ends another day in the boring life of kazza.

Just got home from the "Corro" for drinks for Carl's last day at cia. It's certainly a much more civilised place than the Sly Fox, and even cheaper. So was all good.
A couple of people I know in real life have seen my blog in the past couple of days, which is rather a disturbing thought. I've been writing this for the past 8 months with noone paying any particular attention, and then suddenly I get two in one week. I hope it doesn't mean that I'm gonna stop writing about some stuff, knowing that these people might read it, or pass it onto other people I know who may read it. I'm sure it will have some effect though. We'll see I guess.
My party has been rescheduled to Friday. I'm a bit over it now though, so *whatever*. I'll turn up (assuming it doesn't get cancelled or whatever) and see what happens.
Going back in time an hour.
In the words of Striker (who for some reason I still link to and read his blog every day, even though he *never* reads mine, and never talks to me on icq) .. "kill me and put me out of my misery". No seriously, please can someone kill me. I don't have the guts to do it myself but I can't face this world anymore. I've had enough. My party's been organised for a day, and it's already been cancelled. Seems the people who were going to have to give up bible study aren't willing to, and worried about the burden it'll put on George (which I'm more willing to accept).
Can someone remind me what the point of life is again?
I can't even do the simplest of perl programming. I can't for the life of me work out why almost identical code will work in one situation, but behave completely differently in another. Just figured out one part of it. Needed a slosh in the right place (as opposed to a slash). flipping
That and a madhouse day patching servers like crazy and setting up info so that staff can do it for themselves also. http://www.microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/ms03-026.asp has the potential to criple half (more than half actually) of the computers attached to the internet. So long as our servers are ok, then I can sit back and laugh at the ensuing chaos.
And there's only 14 days to go. Haven't decided what I want to do yet. Whatever I do, I'm sure only half a dozen people would turn up.
/me goes off to continue being depressed in private.

Was a bit scared about going to cia today, but it was all good. There'll probably still be stuff for me to do, and team whatever may adopt me. Either someone is lying about all of what happened, or there's been miscommunication somewhere. Whatever the story is, I probably won't be doing cia support anytime soon. If anything I'll most likely be working on little projects for Vic. Feeling a whole lot more positive about life than a few hours ago.
Well, it seems I am out of my part time job. Oddly enough I was fired by the other support guys rather than management, although it was management that inspired it. The story goes something along the lines of: with me doing all the cia support, it's not giving a true indication of the amount of work that the other guys have to do, and so they can't make their case to management that they need more staff, because I'm doing so much work. Now if you can see the logic in that, then congratulations.
It's kinda hard to write here cause none of would make any sense without knowing the background. But basically this is a job I've been doing for 6 years, and it's suddenly been taken away from me just like that, and I feel rather lost. The future right now is all very uncertain. It's true I did have a two month holiday from it last year, but I never had the feeling it would be permanent. This time it feels a lot more real.
Everyone I know that knows the situation would say it's for my own good. I suppose that is true. There won't be the stress of coming home late and then having to sit down and do the support mail. There won't be any need to care about the systems or the customers after hours when noone else does. But the problem is, I do care. I'm quite convinced I care more about the place than any of the people that actually work there. Which is totally illogical in itself since I have no share in the company.
I always wondered that if I didn't have cia to keep my mind occupied at night whether I'd think about uni work instead. We'll find out I guess. Probably not though. cia was a hobby, different to real work.
So who knows what my future there will be. Vic hinted last night that maybe we could think of something for me to do. I truly hope so.
I've noticed that sometimes when it's fairly cold here (like 12C) my weather pixie is still rather scantily clad. I've also noticed that the moon is upside down. Well today I found this page which has a guide of what the weather pixie wears.
Below is the range of clothes mine wears:

I went and tried to find a few random sites round the world to see it in real life. Somewhere in Canada I found the one with the green parka (-23C), and in Vietnam I found one in a swimming cossie (33C).
I also found reference to the fact that yes, in fact, the moon is not turned upside down for us Southern Hemisphere users. Oh well.
Other than that, I'm having a nothing day, just doing lots of cleaning (my room, gamera, mailboxes, etc)
Just wondering .. as noone has commented for a couple of weeks.. :P Is my life really that boring? ok, maybe better not to answer that ;)
ok then, since I have nothing better to talk about, here's today's idea from Blogideas.com:
How long do you think you will live?
well according to the stoopid quiz I did a while back, I'm going to live to be old. But I'd actually rather die young.. or youngish rather - maybe around 65-70. I couldn't cope with being old and either in pain from chronic disease or with no short-term memory.
But, with the amount of fat/cholesterol I eat, I wouldn't be surprised if I had a heart attack at 50 and got it all over and done with really quickly.
1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?
Blonde, slightly wavy, three feet long
2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?
Only in length
3. How do your normally wear your hair?
Tie the front bits up, the rest out
4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?
Wildly red with tight curls. Like Diane Smith or Nicole Kidman in her younger days.
5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?
The bowl cut I was brought up with. In year 9 I decided to grow it all out, and ended up with a hideous hairstyle for a year or two
