Across the road from our apartment was a fair setting up, but it wasn't due to open til the next weekend. Which didn't stop us enjoying it really. In fact it was kinda nice to wander around without any people or noise :) And Jake didn't really care that the things weren't moving :)

I rather like this photo of Stu gazing out into Batemans Bay

Really? Do I have to?? Work thoroughly sucked today. Insomnia last night certainly didn't help either. By the end of the day I was sick of people. Sick of work. Sick of things not working. Over tired. So came home and got some crap done and felt a lot better. Even went for a walk. And Google-earthed Stu's recent WA pictures. And played some geography games. The thought of having to go to work tomorrow is depressing though :(
hehe not really. Today I was fine. So fine in fact that I woke up feeling perfectly normal, and got annoyed that I'd have to go to work heh. I felt rather ripped off that half my weekend had been wasted on sickness.
The good thing about essentially not eating all weekend and being sick, is that today my appetite was significantly reduced. So I had a salad for lunch and a small amount of meat and salad for dinner (prolly half what I would normally eat).
I put up my Christmas tree tonight, and caught up on a little bit of cleaning. Also got some more inspiration for Christmas presents for people.. getting there!
To the f@#$er who, when I was stuck on a two lane road behind someone turning right, and after my path was clear I accelerated to make up lost ground, decided that my acceleration was blocking him from merging *into the side of me* and started f@#%ing beeping at me, and then when I turned off later beeped me again - fuck off and die!!!!!
To my f@#$ing neighbours who persist in leaving the *security front door* latched open, making this not a security building anymore - fuck off and die!!!!!
A little harsh perhaps? Shrug. People suck.
Does anyone remember ASTRA? I can't imagine too many people would. I probably don't have too many Star Trek loving-Australian-newsgroup readers from 1995 reading my blog. ASTRA was the Australian Star Trek Ratings Analysis. Maintained, apparently, in excel, with regular postings to aus.sf.star-trek (and probably others).
I have wondered over the years whatever happened to astra. So tonight I went looking. Apparently it merged into GEOS in 1997. So there you go.
Tragically, I still have some of the aus.sf.star-trek postings from 1995 when I was into newsgroups, and The Original Series was being aired again. .. heh
Watched Space Seed tonight. Actually one of the better episodes. Makes me wanna watch Star Trek II again to see what happens next :)
.. and I think I'm coming down with something :(
Got evacuated today at work. We didn't think anything of it, as we get drills and false alarms all the time. But when we got outside there were fire trucks and ambulances everywhere. Some sort of chemical spill. People taken to hospital. It even made the papers, go figure.
This in Stu's local shopping centre.. I wonder how long they'll leave it there...
