Canberra Birdwatching - The Pinnacle Nature Reserve

16.5.26

Saturday morning the sweetie took us out to the back of Weetangera to a new spot to try some birdwatching.

There was a couple of crimson rosellas working on a tree hollow for the next breeding season.  The sweetie was sad they flew away before he had a chance to get a photo of them on his camera.

Crimson rosellas

Possibly Verbena bonariensis, a weed from South America

Pretty purple flowers

There was a mob of kangroos bouncing around, and they were all yelling at each other with vocalisations I've not heard from kangaroos before.
