Saturday morning the sweetie took us out to the back of Weetangera to a new spot to try some birdwatching.
There was a couple of crimson rosellas working on a tree hollow for the next breeding season. The sweetie was sad they flew away before he had a chance to get a photo of them on his camera.

Possibly Verbena bonariensis, a weed from South America

There was a mob of kangroos bouncing around, and they were all yelling at each other with vocalisations I've not heard from kangaroos before.

Brown-headed honeyeater. Never heard of them.

Female fairy wren. Saw a heap of females but no male.

Eastern rosella

Mystery bird

More weeds (there was a couple down near the dam ripping out weeds from around it)

Another mystery bird

Apparently silver tea-tree seed pods.

Some fungi growing in a hollow

View to the arboretum and Woden.

Kookaburra.

Birdwatcher.

The Dam.

Australian raven. This dude was making rather a ruckus.
