So I woke up at 4am. Hurray.
Spent the morning getting ready and packing and getting organised.
I was hoping to be out the door by 10:00. It was 10:54 by the time we got going. Hurray.

Stu decided to go via Cooma, which isn't too much longer than going via Batemans Bay and meant less repetition of the Princes Highway.

Stopped in Cooma for lunch. I wanted Subway. Closed permanently. So we ended up next door at KFC. Dominos was also closed, I was wondering if developers aren't renewing leases so they can demolish the place and build something new.

We saw an echidna and an lyre bird just before the descent down Brown Mountain. I was so excited - I don't think I've *ever* seen a lyre bird. Maybe in a zoo or something when I was young. Didn't get photos of either of them though, doh! Edit: I did see a lyre bird once in Tasmania!
Stopped at Fred Piper Memorial Lookout. We could see the ocean! When we came up here in 2022 it was in cloud and we couldn't see a thing, so that was nice.

Stopped opposite Dromedary Hill at 15:20 so I could reproduce one of Dad's photos from 1981.

Arrived at the caravan park at 15:33. Stu had found us one of the cabins online. It's very nice with an outlook over the grounds and trees and a five minute walk to the beach.
We got ourselves organised and went down to the beach for a swim. Stu's idea of heaven. My idea of a massive hassle to get lathered up in sunscreen and changed and sort out all my crap. And the water was cold. Well, at least to begin with, but it was nice once you got in. I may have even enjoyed myself.

Got back and I had a shower then we headed up to Narooma to pick up some beer and supplies (I brought some food but I thought we should have some salad bits as well).

Came back and had said beer while the sweetie had to stress over club stuff and trying to connect to their email over the wifi here. Then we had dinner while watching Stranger Things 3.3.
20:35 is bed time right?
