Hail

Friday night we took Chrissie out for her birthday - she now joins me in knowing the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.  We went to the Dumpling Inn and had some of our favourites (shredded beef peking style and three cup wine chicken) and some dumplings (still can't compete with Din Tai Fung).  Went back to her place afterwards and Kit came down as well.

Lacked motivation this weekend.  Had a big todo list, but barely any of it got done.

I did manage to clean the kitchen and the spare room.  And did some washing.

Other than that, about ten hours on the jigsaw.  And all I've got to show for it is some sorting (about three hours), the edge, and a tiny bit of the jigsaw proper.

Ominous skies

Well, also went for a longish (well it took ages, but that was cause of the kid and the dogs being special, it was actually only 4.85km) walk with Chris.  And the sweetie cooked dinner and did *heaps* of work in the garden.

Zombie Day

So after *zero* sleep on Monday night, and just a couple of hours snoozing on Tuesday, last night I went to bed at a reasonable time, but then woke up at 4:37am with hurty.

*sigh*

So I was super tired today.

Tonight was just backing up my computer and starting this (a Christmas present from Stu)

I maintain that I've never danced on a table when I've been drinking.  Ever.

Last night because no work drinks, a bunch of us went over to Lachie's instead to break in his new table that he'd built himself from scratch.

And I did consider changing my whole not dancing on tables stance.

Because look at this thing.  It's SOLID.

Solid table

It was a lovely evening, even if I was the oldest person there *by far*.

And there was indeed dancing on the table.

But not by me :)

Went down to Chrissie's tonight for a lovely dinner of beef and corned beef (which I chose to partake less of on account of sodium and all) and it was a lovely night of chatting and I didn't even document my dinner.. I know right! Fail! ;)

Day 1

So last night we were all set to just have a quiet night at home with just the two of us.  I set out a spread of snack food that was to be our dinner/evening snacks and we sat down to watch an episode of House.

Then Kit messaged us.  Did we want to come down.

Heh.

So we went down, and then she invited Camilla and David over, and we were chatting for a while then invited Grant down as well.  And later on Chris and Zac came up.  So it was a lovely little neighbourhood party :)

Watched the fireworks at midnight, and stayed up chatting (well some of us did heh) for quite a while.

Today was fairly quiet.  Hid in the house from the sun most of the day, only going out to feed Annie's cat.  Did a bit of holiday planning, but not much house tidying.

Had a salad for lunch which was offset by the sweetie wanting pizza for dinner.  Whoops.  So much for a healthy start to the year...

I'm missing one of the four baby angels, and another one is looking very sick.  Super sad-making :(

But did you know potato flowers are quite pretty?
