Another pretty slow morning. I kept breakfast a bit smaller again so we could have lunch out.

Breakfast bar at the hotel
After breakfast we headed over to Central and found an Australian bar - Coast - where we could watch the Melbourne Cup. I exchanged messages with @CLBradley and Windy with progress and bought some very overpriced Pure Blonde and bubbly and we watched the race. I had a good time after the beer and bubbly, but the sweetie was suffering in a special place in his hell from the crowds and general bogan-ness.

I liked this horse in the Melbourne Cup - "Super Cool". Would have been super cool if it had won :)

After the race we continued to wander. I continued all the way to the top of the Mid Levels escalator and back again while the sweetie waited at Starbucks.

And coming back down you have to walk (except in the mornings until 10am when the escalator goes downhill)
Had a bit of a wander through the "cat" market but nothing that much interesting.

Then we headed down to Dim Sum Square, where we went last night, for more crispy bbq pork buns. We were seated next to a couple of old ladies on our left and a young couple on our right. We had some crystal prawn dumplings, beef and parsley rice rolls, and our special - two plates of crispy bbq pork buns. We sooooooo need to get these in Australia. Otherwise we'll be coming back to Hong Kong just to get these little parcels of bliss!

Then we went back to Kowloon. The sweetie went back to the hotel, while I went all the way to Mong Kok to have another wander. I walked through the Ladies Market again, then down Nathan Road, and through Kowloon Park.

Washed my hair back at the hotel. We (the sweetie suggested it last night, I assumed it was true) were going to go somewhere nice for dinner, but ended up at the hotel's happy hour where we had a beer and some wine and nibblies and suddenly we weren't hungry anymore. So watched the Symphony of Lights from the 39th floor and then went up to the Sky Garden upstairs because we still hadn't been there. It's an open area which would have made for great photos from the edge except all the gardens say they're protected from trespass, which made me wonder if they'd come and arrest me (or evict me) if I went out to the edge to take photos..
