You know I've been extremely busy when I haven't posted any photos in nearly two weeks :(

I finished my Saturday todo list at 1:20pm this afternoon.  Which left nowhere near enough time to get everything done today that I wanted to.

I did make good progress on the trivia night preparations.  A lot less to do over the next couple of nights that I was fearing I'd have to.

Alas it means that I don't have any UK photos to post :(  Maybe later in the week I'll be able to catch up...

But will it post?

The disk on my web host is pretty much full.  So I got the photos up from day 17 (stopping at Thirsk to see the James Herriot house/museum, North York moors, Hogsmeade station, and Housesteads Roman fort which was pretty awesome), but no more space for anything more.  Time to backup the blog methinks in case they decide to delete something :/

Edit: someone's been on to clear some files ..

Keeping Busy

Somehow I let the 18-month anniversaries of our UK trip sneak up on me, which means instead of using the six months to select photos for the blog, I really haven't done any of it.  Which means I'm just as rushed now as I was six months ago.  Doh.

Eighteen months ago today I went up the London Eye, Tower Bridge and went into the Tower of London, as well as seeing the first Leaky Cauldron!

So I was meant to be doing trivia night planning and holiday planning and UK photo sorting.

I did the jigsaw most of the weekend.
This is the next 6000 pieces sorted into sections

And this is my progress as of this evening (can't really see much in this photo)

The only other event of the weekend was meeting up with @phonakins and @chrispycon (and Rish and Richard) for drinks at King O'Malley's, followed by dinner at Asian Noodle House.  No documentary evidence (although I might steal Fiona's photos of the meal one day), but it was a great night.

Cockatoos

Woke up this morning and one of the first things I saw was that Heather (Dooce) has separated from her husband, at least for a trial.  Which made me pretty sad.  I mean these guys have had problems forever (they've been in therapy for years), but there were still times when they seemed very much in love.  So yeah. Sadmaking.

Meanwhile, the cockatoos were making a racket this morning, so while I had the camera out to photograph the sunflowers, I took a bunch of photos of the birds.
