So whenever you finish a tea light candle there's always a bit around the edges that doesn't burn. And don't even get me started on the leftovers on big candles. So I had the idea to make a candle from all the leftovers.
The other month at the club I melted down all the wax by sitting the empties on top of our heater.

Mounted a piece of cooking twine (so unbleached plain cotton) in a tea light candle mount, held it up, and filled it up with wax. I used an empty Ikea candle because I knew the glass could handle a candle.

I tried to mix the red and white waxes a bit so it wouldn't layer too much but didn't really work heh.
Anyway so then lit the thing.
It started off great

But unfortunately most of the wax was of a kind that has a fairly high melting temperature, so it ended up tunneling.

So next time I'll try it with a toilet roll and make a small pillar candle and see how that goes.
