Day 1. 11 March. Conditions looked great. Except they weren't. Wind unfavourable (blowing towards the airport).
I knew by 6:50 when nothing was in the air that it wouldn't be happening. Two times in a row I've gone to the north side of the lake only to be disappointed. #grunt
So walked all the way over to the library, saw the balloons inflate anyway (just not take off) and said hi to Neil.
The commercial balloons still flew, but they were on the far western end of the valley in front of Mount Painter.
