So I was introduced to Lotus Notes/Lotus Domino in about July 1998. Some exec type person where I worked said "hey we should all use Lotus Notes". But literally had no clue how to implement it. So our department hired a contractor and we got Lotus Notes/Domino setup. We ended up with a bunch of servers and did mail and our website with it. But no integration with the rest of the organisation because did I mention the higher ups had no clue? This probably would have been about Notes 4. On this day twenty years ago our team went in one Saturday to upgrade stuff to R5.

Who'd have known I'd still be using it twenty two years later. Although higher ups being higher ups still don't think it's sexy enough and want to get rid of it. Which is a shame because there is literally nothing else better on the planet for doing documentation. Just saying.

Big thumbs up from me ... but, hey, I'm not an exec type person, so what would I know.
