On most passenger decks there's a laundrette with four washers and four dryers. The wash cycle takes about 45 minutes, although closer to an hour if you use "extra rinse". The dryers can go up to about 70 minutes. This presents a problem for drying, as if you have a load of wet washing to dry you can wait a while for a dryer. Or worse, someone comes from another laundrette with a bag of wet washing and puts it into the dryer you were literally about to use. And if you're not there the second your washing or drying finishes, it will be taken out by someone and dumped somewhere. Or worse, they only bother to take out *most* of your stuff, so you have to hang around til their cycle finishes to retrieve your things.
There was so much laundry rage.
Tip: don't get a stateroom next to a laundry, as there's *always* people hanging around in the corridors there. Unless of course you want to be super close to the laundry to be able to check for free washers and do your washing.
