Day 16 - Saturday 14 March - Kingscote area

Slept relatively well which was nice. Had leftovers again for breakfast. Then continued the process of backing up photos to the external hard drive so I could clear space on the laptop. Super relaxed start and out the door a bit before 11.

First up we dropped off the sweetie at Duck Lagoon so he could do some bird watching.

Then we headed into Kingscote so I could get photos of the Ozone Hotel and the mermaid (which they've moved so they could extend the old hotel) and the beach and jetties.

Headed out to the historic Reeves Point to have a look around.

Then back into Kingscote and went to a bakery for pies for lunch.

After lunch we headed out of town to the Kangaroo Island Brewery and tried a paddle of beers which was a bit of fun, with a lovely view over some farmland out the back.

Then to Kangaroo Island Spirits which was a lovely spot, and had a paddle of gins which was also a bit of fun. Pam had a paddle of liqueuers.

Next up we went up to Emu Bay to have a look around. Beautiful big bay and you can actually drive on the beach there.

Headed back out to Duck Lagoon to pick up the sweetie, then back into Kingscote for some more photos in afternoon sun, and dinner.

Dinner was at Amadio's Vino e Cuncina. I had some nice lasagna and the sweetie had some gnocchi.

Then the long drive back to the house for a little more wine and chilling on the balcony watching the sunset.

Backed up the GPS and camera, but didn't bother with the phone because it would take too long.
