Day 7 - Monday 24 November - Port Kembla and Wollongong

Slept okish. Usual slowish start and out the door at 9:39.

It was rainy. What else is new. Well at least grey. The rain was a little way off.

Headed north for the day.

Our first stop was at "Hill 60" as it was known during the war, but now affords views of the coast. Mostly south. The view north is obscured by, you guessed it, trees.

We also went down past the sewerage works to have a look there. All while thinking the rain was about to reach us at any point (we could see it coming from the south on the radar and in the sky).

Next we headed out to the Port Kembla Breakwall (the southern one) and walked the entire kilometre along it to the end. All while thinking the rain was about to reach us at any point. Fortunately it didn't.

Then out to the Flagstaff Point Lighthouse at Wollongong. Snapped a couple of photos before hiding in the car while it rained for a bit. Then got a few more photos.

It was after 13:00 by this point so we drove into Wollongong to find some lunch. Walked all the way up the Crown Street Mall and ended up in Wollongong Central for lunch. Stu had KFC (of the Korean variety) and I had Subway.

Wandered up to Goodgames for a brief look.

Then had some gelato down the bottom of Crown Street Mall.

And back to Kiama.

The sweetie dropped me off at the blowhole because the sun was out and the sky was BLUE!! Took some photos there.

Then had a meander back through town taking photos of buildings in the sun.

Finally back to the motel. Apparently our alarm had gone off AGAIN. Seriously it only ever false alarms when we go away. I reckon all the spiders must realise we're gone and relax and come out of hiding and wander around the place and in front of the sensors. Sigh.

Downloaded GPS and photos then ordered pizza. The one at Centrepoint is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we got a couple from Zia's (Aussie and Pepperoni). I quite liked them. Stu thought Centrepoint was better.

Watched Stranger Things 3.8 (end of season 3).
