Day 3 - Thursday 20 November - Narooma

Slept somewhat better which was good. Used my own pillow which made it better, and it was nice and cold too.

Had a very slow morning. No sunlight, so didn't feel the need to race out the door as soon as possible. Stu did some club stuff and I wrote up some of my C-word blog (up to July).

Out the door around 11:15 and up to Narooma to find some photo spots.

The first stop was up to the water tower and Uniting Church to get a photo looking over the town, reproducing a photo Dad took in 1960.

Next stop was in front of the police station for another reproduction of a 1960 photo. Except you can't get the same photo anymore because of all the buildings in front of the police station now. I did get something very similar from the Narooma Hotel though, and decided it would make for a nice place to have lunch.

Then down to the river to get a photo of the bridge. Because I like bridges.

Then up the hill to find some more shots of Dad's from 1960. Except trees.

Then to the top of that hill for a shot of Dad's from 1981. Except trees.

And down to the end of Eastaway Avenue for another 1981 shot. This one I actually managed to get mostly the same photo without too many trees.

Back in town we went to aforementioned Narooma Hotel for a nice lunch of caesar salad (for me) and nachos (for Stu).

Then headed out around the Wagonga Scenic Drive, including a little detour to Buckeridge Lookout (which is still a thing!) and to find a wharf on the Wagonga River. There's not too much scenery to be seen, but the forest was quite pretty. Saw a wallaby, some kangaroos and two lyre birds. Well Stu saw two, I only saw one, but did get the sweetie to stop and actually got some photos of it. Looked exactly like Road Runner. Very cool :):):)

Back at the cabin around 14:50 I think.

Stu had a little lie down and I wrote up the day so far.

Went back into Woollies in town to grab some supplies. It sure is a country town here. Only three McCain tv dinners, no veal cordon bleu. Only a few Dr Octopus pizzas, a couple of vegetarians and a ham and pineapple, no pepperoni or quattro formaggio. Ended up getting a couple of Pub Size meals.

Then we had to plan where we're going to stay for the next week. We were orginally going to stay with Kit on Friday/Saturday but she's just gotten sick. Sad times. Eventually booked a place then had dinner and watched Stranger Things 3.5.
