Slept ok, awake normal time, breakfast, GPS, photos, blogging.
After breakfast I went up to put a load of washing on. Except there was already a load just started, and two other bags lined up in a queue. Sigh. So went up periodically to check that other people had been moving through the queue and eventually got my load on around 10:15. In the meantime I repacked my bag (which had become strewn all over the floor), Stu had a nice morning listening to music and drinking coffee and reading a book, and we looked at the map and decided what to do for the day. Took the washing out when it was done and hung out what we could.
Headed out around 11:35.
First stop was "Lookout Rock" in Bicheno. Dad got a great photo of the town here in 1971. But you guessed it, now there's trees. Actually it was possible he managed to get to the top of the rock there but I looked at the three metre high wall of rock (with a bunch of old logs braced to make a makeshift ladder going about two metres up) and was like yeah nope. Meanwhile Stu went for a drive and also got some more petrol.

12:10 we headed west.
Our first stop was Campbell Town. We stopped there (around 13:25) and had some lunch (with actual real vegetation!).

Then headed south to Ross. Had a good long wander around Ross although had to go back to the bridge again a bit later because a great big cloud put it in shadow for ages.

Back in Bicheno we headed to the blowhole, which was blowing somewhat which was pretty cool. Managed to mostly reproduce Dad's photos (well except I didn't get quite as far out on one point because it would have meant climbing big rocks).

Then had a look at Waubs Bay. It's been developed a lot since 1971. There's even a whisky distillery there now.

Back in town we stopped at Beer and Brew and had some local beers (Bicheno beer!) and had a quite nice "three pigs" pizza.
Back at the resort I walked down to the beach because the sun was so shiny on Diamond Island.

Then chucked some of the heavier washing in the dryer for a while, while we watched The Orville 3.1. Stu made himself slightly ill by eating an entire tub of ice cream. Whoops!
Collapsed into bed a bit after 21:00.
