Been having altogether too many of these.  Woke up at 4:30 and never got back to sleep :(

But backing up a little.

Had a nice quiet weekend.  Did pop out on Saturday for fish stuff, uni to borrow a book for the sweetie and food shopping.  Other than that mostly just Lego and house bits.  Didn't get as much done as I'd have liked, but did get some things done.

Saturday night we watched The Fellowship of the Ring.  Started a bit after six, finished about 10:30.

Last night we went over to EffanC's in the afternoon and chatted for a while, then had a lovely dinner, then watched The Disaster Artist.  So well done it was cringe-worthy heh.

Dinner at EffanC's

Crazy busy week this week.  Short, but exhausting.  And no chance to relax this weekend, way too much to do.

Had lunch with the Chrises and Glenda today which was nice, although I ate too much and was struggling to stay awake.  Had a late dinner and now going to collapse into bed.

So relatively nice long weekend.  Did a lot of Lego sorting (every day), a bit of food shopping (Saturday), finally cracked 8192 on 2048 (Saturday), Ben over for roast pork (Saturday), some cooking (caramel slice and beef stew on Sunday morning), killifish study group meeting at Serkan's and then dropped off some stuff at Stu's and the kids (Sunday), saw the balloons (Monday), a Bunnings run (Monday), a couple of episodes of Homeland, several episodes of Enterprise and about fifteen episodes of The Addams Family.  I was hoping to do a bit of shower grouting, but that wasn't to be.  But I did get some work done on the trivia night (but again, not as much as I'd hoped).

Yesterday we headed out to the club *first thing* which was somewhat stressful.  I spent three hours dismantling Lego while the committee meeting was on, then we all spent the afternoon in the pool which was nice enough.  Came home and watched some Enterprise.

This morning I woke up depressed because *yet another* weekend was half gone on account of the club.

Today alternated between housework and trivia night prep and Lego sorting.

Cooked some cheese and spinach stuffed chicken for dinner and watched Enterprise and the start of season six of Homeland.

And while it's a little too early for bed time, I might have a go at it anyway, on account of going to bed at nine thirty last night but then not getting to sleep til 11:30 :(

The Boss

ok day today.  Had a bit of a long lunch which also involved a game of darts (I got a bulls eye in my first round but didn't do very well after that haha).

This evening over to Chrissie's to pick up her car in case I need to drive while Stu is out.  She is very ready to pop.

Stu had a crazy day so I thought we should watch something a bit "light" and short.  Saw The Boss on Netflix.  We like Kristen Bell so we put it on.  Very silly movie but the light fluff we needed.

Sooo looking forward to a weekend where I *have* to be at home.

Of course saying that will jinx myself and I'll be at the hospital later.. haha

Yesterday morning we headed out to the club first thing.  I spent a fair bit of time dismantling Lego.  Had some lunch, chatted for quite a while, then spent a lot of the latter half of the afternoon in the pool before coming home.  David stopped in on his way home, and we got pizza and watched Men in Black III which was all a bit silly but I still enjoyed it.

Today it was just a fairly quiet day doing not a whole lot.  Went to Bunnings to see if there were any boxes I could use for Lego sorting, but none really.  Had some lunch then went to First Choice to pick up a bunch of wine boxes for packaging Tupperware to sell on ebay.  Cooked a potato bake and three cheese chicken for dinner and watched Blade Runner.

And just like that weekend is over :(

I Tired

Katie was back in town this weekend, so went down to Kit's for a while after dinner.  Played Cards Against Humanity for quite a while but I didn't do very well.  Slightly late night, but still woke up at 6:30 this morning didn't I?

Headed out to the club first thing for a committee meeting.  We were going to have lunch then come home, but we got talked into hanging around til 5pm to meet a new person.  So didn't get home til 7pm.  So I'm very tired.

Rather than Mum coming down to visit over Christmas (which would have added to the chaos around here), I went up to Sydney on the weekend to catch up with her and Ken/Jeanine and Graham/Pam.

I drove up (in Stu's car) on Friday night and pretty much just crashed.

In the morning we headed out - first to drop off some church books to the auditor, then onto Ken and Jeanine's.  From there we headed to Pandora's Restaurant in Rouse Hill for lunch.  I had steak which was quite nice and we sat and chatted for a few hours.

After lunch Mum and I headed back to Ken and Jeanine's for some relaxing in the spa and nibbles later on.

How awesome is their outdoor entertaining space?!

We were pretty amused that Mum matched Jeanine's chair!

Got back to Mum's super late and just crashed.

This morning I headed home again, via Cataract Dam.

Didn't get a whole lot done this afternoon, was pretty tired..  But more Good Place!

This morning we headed out for brunch (the Scottish Restaurant! shhh!!) and then did a small bit of food shopping.

And then it was midday. Hrmmm.

Cleaned out and decluttered a couple of shelves in the kitchen which was all I achieved today.

The other day Chrissie asked if they could come by today for a swim (on account of stoopidly hot weather this weekend).  This morning Ben and Sarah if they could come by this arvo for a swim.  Then Annie asked if they could could come by this arvo for a swim.

You know me and people.

Sigh.

So I refused to organise anything.

On account of I HATE organising people.  So I didn't.  Stu organised for Ben and Sarah to come by around dentist time, and Annie from 4pm.  I never did hear from Chrissie.  So it all worked out in the end.  Had a nice swim with Ben and Sarah when they were here, and Annie brought cake for Lily's birthday and we sat around watching stoopid YouTube videos while the storm passed over (and later while all the girls were in the pool).

Even though this was like the hottest day of the year, the sweetie convinced me to turn the oven on to make these nachos - just corn chips topped with cheese and grilled for about five minutes.  Served with Stu's homemade salsa and sour cream.  Soooo good!

Tonight we watched a new episode of The Good Place, and Discovery.  I'm thinking about going to bed, but I have this awful feeling I'm going to get insomnia tonight.  Of course going to bed early and stressing about it is almost guaranteed to make it happen.. but if I stay up later and then get it I'll just lose all that sleep I could have had.. hrmmm...

Also the cooler has been trying to keep up with the heat and doing a quite reasonable job of it..

So we'd been planning to go out to the club today.

But then I woke up at dentist time.  And lay there for two hours.  Got up for an hour and read feeds.  Then lay in bed for another hour.  Finally got about another hour and a half's sleep, but was still a zombie this morning.

Cooked David some breakfast, then he headed home.

Stu also didn't sleep very well so we decided we'd avoid people and stay home.

I spent the afternoon cleaning out drawers and cupboards in the kitchen, wiping them out and decluttering them.  I'm selling/giving a way a few things.  Selling the juicer and the ice cream maker - anyone interested?  And giving away a blender, a toasted sandwich maker and a coffee grinder.  Felt a lot better for having actually achieved something today, and getting some much needed down time.

In the evening I cooked up some fish (that we got last weekend but everything kept getting in the way and we hadn't cooked it yet), with some mushrooms and salad.  Watched the third episode of Star Trek Discovery, which was a lot better than the previous two, and then watched Look Who's Talking Too.

9pm and it's totally bed time..
