On the way home from Callum Brae we stopped at Giralang Pond. Apparently straw-necked ibis had been coming there in the evenings to roost. We'd driven past a few times but not seen them. This day we actually got out of the car, and just as we did three of them flew in, poked around the water for a bit, then went up into the trees to roost. It was pretty dark but still managed some ok photos of them.
(This is just a regular sacred ibis (aka bin chicken), but it looked kinda cool anyway)

So yeah, super lucky timing!
