March 2017 Archives
Last night the sweetie and I went to see Silence.
It told the story of Portugeuse Jesuit priests in Japan in the 17th century.
It was good, although very long and a little slow.
But I actually found it quite difficult to watch.
Because I don't know what I would have done if that were me.
If I were tortured for my faith.
Could I stand it?
Would I be like Kichijiro?
Or even Rodrigues by the end..
So those little bunnies that were so adorable...
Not long after these were taken, Vicki got into the rabbit hutch to play with the bunnies. Yeah blue heelers and baby bunnies don't mix. Kit came home to one that was already dead (although not gored - Vicki was obviously just playing too rough) and Buttons and the other baby traumatised. Kit brought them inside but the other baby didn't make it. Super sad times.
Buttons has now been inside for a couple of weeks and Kit will probably breed her again soon.
Had a very quiet long weekend. Didn't really do much other than house stuff. Stu went to work and I went with Chris and Kit to Salvos and Vinnies. Not much else really. Did finish up all the fresh food in the house though which was good.
Twice this week I've woken up in the middle of the night and not gotten back to sleep for *hours* - brain just would. not. shut. up. Even meditation techniques - concentrating on breathing and chanting Go. The f@!%. To sleep - didn't help. Not only are you a complete zombie at work, but then evenings are wasted because you're too tired to do anything, and end up having to go to bed early. Such a waste of time.
In other news, I went to the dentist this week after one year instead of twenty. Yay me.
Well not much really.
Wednesday night we ran the trivia night which was pretty well attended and enjoyed. Only two questions that noone got right, but twenty-three that *everyone* got right - whoops!
Thursday had a training day which I always find a bit draining, but learnt some things, even if I won't get much exposure to them in real life.
Friday night we had dinner at Hero Sushi and did some clothes shopping. The girl at City Chic was quite nice and unthreatening which made the whole process of clothes shopping not *completely* stressful. And only spent nearly $300 on four items. Hrmmmmmmm!! (Vinnies was *much* better value!!)
The weekend was pretty much just *getting things done*. Had dinner at Annie's last night, but really the weekend was just getting things done that hadn't been gotten done on account of trivia nights and stuff...
Tonight we watched some Voyager, and Particle Fever, which was pretty interesting.
