Woke up at 12:45 to pee and then stayed awake. Had one dream at one point that felt like an episode of The Orville. But other than that was awake for hours. Must have gotten back to sleep at one point and then slept through til 7:45 - missed the sunrise!
Got ready and the power went out at 8:45 (they'd said 9:00 hmmmm), and not even water for a while, must be on a pump somewhere, although did end up getting water back. Out the door around 9:50.
Headed for Smithton first. Got petrol then went up to see the lookout. They have an orange frame there too but the view isn't as good as the Stanley view.

Then headed all the way out past Arthur River to The Edge of the World. Which isn't actually at the most westerly point, but whatevs.

Next we headed up to West Point Lighthouse. Or rather its foundations, since it was replaced in 1982 by the Bluff Point Lighthouse and all that's left is the concrete base. Annoylingly, just as we arrived another couple did too, and then proceeded to stand on the base for AGES while I just wanted them to get off so I could get a photo of the thing. No other people around before or after, just we happened to have the bad luck of being there at the same time as PEOPLE. But apparently the most westerly point in Tasmania.

Both places were epic windy and infested with FLIES. I was being assaulted from every direction and found it super stressful.
Back through Marrawah and down to Green Point Beach to have a look.

In Smithton we tried to find somewhere for linner, but a bit tricky at 15:30. In the end found Sadie's and had a pretty big meal there.

My job description at work is Sadie, so it was funny we had a linner here

Then back to Stanley for ice cream/gps/photos/blogging. 18:25 and still feeling quite full. Too full even for beer!

20:25, still haven't had anything else to eat, and two beers. I should probably get out a cheese stick in case I get hungry later :)
