Somewhat restless sleep. Woke up fairly early.
Got ready and had breakfast and because it was so shiny I went for a walk. Went up to the Cenotaph again, and down past the docks again. The Noordam was in port today (apparently doesn't leave til tomorrow night).

We decided this morning that even if we did leave relatively early we probably wouldn't even make it to any of the early lighthouse tours on Bruny Island even if they did have free spots. And we figured we didn't *really* feel like driving 18km out each way on a dirt road just to see it. So we relaxed and didn't rush out the door (hence why I went for a walk).
Anyways, out the door around 9:00. Drove south to Kettering and got to the ferry terminal around 10:00 - just in time for the 10:10 ferry! (the Parrabah) We were literally the last car to board which was pretty cool (hurray for having a "little" car that they could squeeze on). The ferry trip is short and sweet. They even have an indoor and outdoor passenger lounge if you don't want to sit in your car. I just walked up and down and took photos heh.

On Bruny Island we drove right past the chaos on The Neck and ventured further afield.
Our first stop was at Coal Point for a quick look.

Then onto Adventure Bay where we had a look at the globe sculpture and had a pitstop (just beat a tour bus which caused an instant queue in the toilets).

Went to find the Captain Cook Memorial but it was "gone for repairs". Also saw all the peeps getting on the jet boat tours. I wouldn't mind doing that one day but it's three hours and we had plenty of other things we wanted to see.

Next we popped into the Bruny Chocolate Company building and I got a little bit of chocolate. Pretty expensive though.

We arrived at the Bruny Hotel to get a cider at 12:00. Well it turns out they actually open at 12:00 and everyone arrived at once and most of the indoor bit was "reserved" (for two tour groups) and they wanted people to go to the bar to be seated and noone knew what was going on and there was ONE person manning the bar taking food and drink orders. It was chaos and I queued for ages (the sweetie found a seat outside). Eventually got served and I said it seemed a bit chaotic here today and she was like, nah... And I'm like hmmmm! Maybe they could take tips on running a pub from, like, well any pub anywhere else really. Anyways, so had my Bruny Island cider, and Stu had a small Bruny Island whey stout, then picked up a couple of takeaways from the bottleo next door.

We stopped at The Neck and climbed all the way to the top (nearly got blown off). Pretty cool view, but too many people. Also had a look at the beaches on both sides.

Next we stopped for a late lunch at the Bruny Island Cheese company. We got the large platter of cheeses and the tasting paddle of beers. Stoopidly expensive but very nice. Bought some stinky cheeses to take back with us.
Our final stop was the House of Whisky but it was even more stoopidly expensive (and I had to pee) so didn't even end up trying anything.

We made it back to the docks in time for the 15:30 ferry back (Nairana).

On the way back I was looking at the bright blue sky, we could see Mt Wellington a lot clearer than the other day, so I asked if the sweetie felt up to going up. He didn't really, but he agreed to take me up anyway. Bestest. Sweetie. Ever. It was definitely clearer than the other day, so grabbed a bunch more photos then headed down again. Could definitely smell the stinky cheese in the car!

Got back to the room and did gps/photos. And put the stinky cheese in an airtight container in the fridge.
Went to Ms Korea again because the sweetie wanted more KFC. We just got a half though and finished last night's leftovers while watching Big Bang Theory.
Then finished blogging. 20:15 is bed time right?
