Got woken up by someone banging on a door next door or something like that. Got ourselves organised and ready and checked out.
We decided to have breakfast at a cafe in town near the beach so that was nice.

Then we had a wander down to the jetty to have a look, then picked up a few supplies in the little supermarket.

Then continued on our way. It was quite late in the morning by the time we left Port Campbell, and the tourists were out in force. The Gibson Beach car park was completely full to overflowing.

When we got to Apollo Bay we headed up to Marriner's Lookout, which has a fantastic view of Apollo Bay.

Then back into town. We managed to find a half hour parking spot near the main beach, so went to the loo, then to the Foodworks to pick up more supplies (perishable stuff we didn't want to cart around from Port Campbell). Also picked up some pies at a bakery, and headed to a different spot overlooking the ocean to eat them.
Finally we headed out to Cape Otway, arriving after 3pm. We checked into the Airbnb which is a studio room just off the café and has an awesome view of the lighthouse!

Dumped all our stuff then wandered around the buildings here (included in the price of the airbnb). So that was all very interesting.

Cape Otway Lighthouse
Around dinner time we set ourselves up outside with wine and cheese and nibbles and watched the sunset. Although not really because it was mostly cloudy. When the sun did start to peek through I went for a wander to document it. Came across a couple doing a time-lapse of the sunset, and it turns out they were actually ex lighthouse keepers!

After it got dark they illuminated the lighthouse, but only for like half an hour or so before turning the lights off. So we went to bed.

View out the front door of the Airbnb to the lighthouse from the bedroom
Everything about this place is pretty awesome except there's literally no cooling in the bedroom. No aircon, no fan, and at some point they've painted the window shut so you can't even open it. We did have the kitchen window and front door open (the flies all came in the moment we opened the front door to bring out stuff in) so at least there was some ventilation.
