Ok sleep, woke up at usual time (of course), cereal for breakfast in the room. Got ready and out the door a bit after 8:30.
Stopped first to get some petrol, then off we went.
We headed over to Mount Beauty first (which is actually in a valley), stopping first at two lookouts. The first we had to ourselves, the second another couple pulled up at the same time we did #grunt.

Stopped in Mt Beauty to get the sweetie a coffee, then headed up into the hills to try and find where Dad took some photos in 1969. Went up a couple of pretty scary fire trails (for a two wheel drive) and even ended up at a power station at one point. In the end satisfied myself with some photos that were nearish but probably not quite right. Oh well.

Continued on up to Falls Creek. I kinda wanted to see the ski runs, but they were mostly over the back of the mountain which we didn't go to because of a scary sign that said do not enter because they may close the gate at any time. But we did see a dam there which was nice.

By then it was midday so had to decide to go to Dartmouth, head back, or do something different. In the end we decided to continue on to Omeo and go back from there. On the way across the Bogong High Plains we stopped at a picnic spot for snackages for lunch. It would have been lovely and peaceful except for the FLIES!! And not just annoying little ones, but bitey big ones as well. Epic rude. We did see a super fat little skink though.

It was a very pretty drive down off the mountains and down along Big River to Omeo, but it didn't really make for good photos unfortunately.

Had another snack break in Omeo in a nice little park (although some other tourists took the only shaded seats).

The drive back to Bright took us up over Hotham, which has some pretty acrophobic ski runs! Seriously some of the runs ended up in gullys with sheer drops below them. I like bowls when I'm skiing, not ridges and sheer drop offs! Craziness!

Finally got back to the motel a bit after five, and put on some washing and went to Woollies for supplies. For dinner we went back to Kastu takeway for more Japanese fare. Once again it was demolished in about three seconds flat!
