Day 11 - Tuesday 15 February - Torquay - Kazza's Australian Holidays

Woke up around 4am for way too long (looked at my phone at 4:12 - happy 4:12!). But got back to sleep eventually and had weird dreams.

Nice gentle start to the day, and got Scottish Restaurant for drive through breakfast (this was the first Scottish Restaurant we'd seen since leaving the Hume a week ago).

Our first stop was up at Point Impossible beach and we actually went in for a dip (the water was probably warmer than the air).

Then we slowly meandered down the coast.

We stopped at Fisherman's Beach and had a wander around.

Me on the Torquay Sundial. It was 11:30am when I took this, and you're meant to take off an hour for daylight savings, but it still seemed a bit out.

Then we had a look around Point Danger (first Apple Maps fail of the day - it seemed to think Point Danger lookout was actually back at the Sundial at Fisherman's Beach).

Then out to Jan Juc Beach to have a look from the lookout.

And finally (for the morning) out to Bird Rock Lookout.

Stopped in at Woollies in town to pick up some supplies.

So a pretty chilled morning, then we headed back to the motel where I looked around for accommodation for tomorrow night. We had ham and cheese rolls we picked up from Woollies for lunch (with extra rosemary and garlic butter we found).

After lunch and accommodation searching it was 15:25, so got ready (read: lathered up with sunscreen) then headed out again.

First we had a look from the lookout at Bell's Beach. This is literally the second time in my life I've gone to the lookout and had a look, and went meh, and carried on :) (the first time in 1994 there were no photos to prove it)

Then onto Southside Beach where we went down and had another swim.

We came back via Coles to pick up dinner (tv dinners!) (second Apple Maps fail of the day, we asked it to find the nearest Coles and it directed us to a place near the RACV Resort where there were only houses and most definitely not a Coles). Washed my shorts and hung them out then chilled out and had dinner in. We put on Big Bang Theory on 10 Peach. We've missed a couple of nights, including the season 12 finale, now they're back to the beginning.
