Rant: November 2018 Archives

So the last month or two we've been watching Death in Paradise, a British murder mystery set in the Caribbean.

But.

Spoilers.

We've gotten through two seasons of eight episodes each, and had just started watching season three on Sunday night.

Where they unceremoniously killed off the star of the show.

My favourite character.

Are you freakin kidding me?   Who does that???

I can't bear to watch any more right now.

Maybe next year.

Tuesday woke up around 3am, hot and uncomfortable.  Didn't get back to sleep for two or three hours.

Wednesday the storm woke me up but then couldn't get back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Thursday was hurty from about 3am for two or three hours.

Friday was hurty from about 5am and it was all over.

I did sleep relatively well last night, although when I woke up my spine was ACHING and it took quite a while to recover.

Le sigh.

Yeah so the other day I was complaining about Apple iPhones screwing up the Date modified field on their photos.  Thanks to a pro tip from the little brother, I can use FastStone to change the Date modified field to be the Date taken from the EXIF data.  Look! That first file is correct now!!  (and all the other photos are too)

However.

Hi.

That doesn't work with the PNG files (screenshots).  5884 was taking early morning on 6 November, and 5885 was taking mid morning on 6 November.  But their modified dates are screwed up.  5884 is noted as being modified two days later, and 5885 several hours earlier.  So the script I have to rename the files got 5884 wrong, so I had to manually rename it.

Fricken hate Apple.
