Tumut 2020 - Day 2 - Kazza's Australian Holidays

Didn't sleep all that well, a combination of the pillow being a bit too high, and having eaten too much for dinner. I woke up my normal time: read: hours before Stu, ok he didn't sleep in *that* much ;) But I did have time to go for a half hour wander around Tumut. Even saw some hot air balloons!

Headed back to the motel where we had breakfast in their breakfast/function room. Not bad value for $18. Lot of bacon!

Then we went back out to Blowering Dam. Had a good longer wander round the park at the bottom, and looked at Blowering Power Station, while Stu read a book. Although a magpie was none too happy that I was there in his turf!

Then drove up to the top, and walked all the way across the dam wall and back (Stu only went half way across before turning back).

Back into town, and went up to the lookout. Not the greatest view in the world, and a house blocked the view of most of the town anyway.

Stopped in briefly at the motel, then headed out for lunch - we walked up to the Tumut River Brewing Company pub/brewery. I'll put that in a separate post. But that was a lovely afternoon.

Wandered down through the caravan park (one of the cabins by the river would definitely have been lovely), then upriver to the bridge, then back to the motel.
