Wednesday 9.7.25
Got to sleep ok but awake from before 3 til after 5. Hurray.
Had a nice quiet day. I took the last round of steroids for this cycle.
I had a telehealth appointment with Dr LH in the morning. I was actually booked in for someone else because Dr LH was going on leave. But then she called to say she'd picked up the appointment, but she was on speaker phone and I didn't actually recognise her voice. Oops. Got a prescription for sedatives to take while on the steroids.
So then went to the chemist and picked up that and a couple of other things.
Gave myself the lonquex injection around 11:35 (didn't go back to Icon for them to charge me lots of money to do it).
I had a generally symptom free day today which was nice.
I do have some bruising on my hand from the cannular where they injected the chemo, and a bit of bruising on my arm from the blood tests on Monday.
Thursday 10.7.25
Took half a clonazepam last night. Slept ok til 4:30 then awake for over an hour or so.
Got up and peed and had a little piece of cheese. I was wondering if tastes had changed at all, or if I was just imagining it. When I had my OJ at breakfast later I thought maybe it was sweeter than normal?? Or maybe I was just imagining it.
I was actually feeling ok, so I logged onto work for the day.
Friday 11.7.25
Still feeling mostly ok today. Worked from home again.
Took some photos of my hair in the morning. It will literally never be this long again.
Dr LM gave me a medical certificate from 8 July to 9 September. But it somehow felt wrong to take three months off when I was actually feeling ok. Made a point to ask him about a more flexible one next time I see him.
Went and got my hair cut today. That was a bit traumatic. Made worse by someone coughing behind me the whole way through and not wearing a mask. Sigh.
Started to feel a bit achy in the afternoon. Did a little bit of poo in the evening. Took some Movicol in the evening.
Also had a bit of pain at the ends of my femurs today (they said that could happen after the lonquex injection).
Saturday 12.7.25
A bit achy overnight and throughout the day.
Sunday 13.7.25
Continued to be a bit achy. Did some relatively normal poop before lunch.
In the evening felt strong aches in my pelvis. Not sure what it was from - it felt different to the pain you get from diarrhea. Could have been in my pelvis? Really not sure. Took a couple of panadol which may have helped a bit.
Monday 14.7.25
OMFG all the poops in the evening and overnight!! Not really diarrhea, but fairly soft and mushy. And often quite painful before I went. It ended up making my butt quite sore with all the wiping.
Did 6 poops between 16:24 Sunday and a bit after midnight, then at least had a bit of a rest. Had a bit more first thing in the morning but then that was it.
I kept an eye on my temperature in the afternoon - it was possibly a little elevated.
After dinner (18:40) I took my temperature again and it was over 38 on all three thermometers. They said you should go to hospital if your temperature goes above 38, and Uncle Graham had just been through all this where any sort of fever could be life-threatening.. so off to hospital we went....
