Dubbo 1981 - Day 4

Before we left Dubbo, Dad went down to the Macquarie River and took this photo.

Then we headed home via the Wollar to Sandy Hollow railway which was under construction at the time.  We stopped at various bridges and tunnels along the way.  I have no memory of this part of the trip.

Bridge over the Wollar Creek north of Wollar (to be confirmed next time David does a trip out that way)

Bridge under construction.  I reckon this is over the Goulburn River north west of Coggan although David disputes which bridge it is, another one for him to find some time.

Up until 1981, the road went through two tunnels at Cox's Gap.  The railway commandeered this, and the road now has to go around a much windier path.  Dad labelled these as No. 3 and No.2 tunnels, but pretty sure he missed one, and these are No.2 and No.1 just west and east of Bylong Valley Way.
