This afternoon sucked severly. I really need to step back from work and look at the big picture. If lusers are being stoopid then really why should it upset me? If I can't figure out a windoze problem then why should I get frustrated? If we're kicked out of the building because of a (false) fire alarm why should I be annoyed about having to stand outside (when I really should have been happy that I didn't actually have be facing all these stoopid problems at work)?

I really need to just think "whatever" and move on. Really.

And now for something completely different.

1. What brand of toothpaste do you use?
Colgate

2. What brand of toilet paper do you prefer?
Kleenex, Purex, Wondersoft.. whatever's going cheap

3. What brand(s) of shoes do you wear?
Rivers boots. However they don't make women's boots anymore, so I'll be changing.

4. What brand of soda do you drink?
It's not soda, it's softdrink. And I'll drink whatever's going, altho I do prefer lemon squash related drinks

5. What brand of gum do you chew?
I don't.

1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
Tap will do me

2. What are your favourite flavor of chips?
Cheeeeese. I mostly stopped eating Pringles because they stopped making my favourite flavour - cheezums

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
mm. Beef Stroganoff perhaps? Altho it's not really a stroganoff because I don't put sour cream in it, but it's a delicious beef stew recipe I got off Alan

4. How do you have your eggs?
Sunny side up!

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?
Myself? Aside from that, George, the other night - that was a stroganoff also, and it was yummy altho the meat was a little tough

New Tank

Was a totally perfect autumn day today. Not too hot, not too cold. A little rain storm that swept very quickly through the city to leave the sky scrubbed clean.

To the right is a photo of my new fish tank as of last night. I put the smallest danio in there tonight, and tomorrow I'll probably add the other small male so she doesn't get too lonely.

And now for a Friday Five:

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
In some ways I am. Like I hate clutter and like putting things in their proper places, although I'm happier to clean up other peoples' mess than my own - I'm too lazy to clean up after myself. In other ways I'm not though. Like I have yet to find a diary/calendaring system I can use. I organise most events in my life on memory. I don't have too much trouble with this, as generally my life is so uneventful it's not a problem.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
I have a filofax that almost never gets used. Before that I had an electronic organiser that almost never got used.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
Nope. Although plans for the weekend include organising it.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
Not really. I try and categorise them though.

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
Other people I think

hrm, this is rather musical, not sure about some of them tho.. :)

1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
um, how about "The Look", by Roxette

2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
I don't know of any that make me cry. The Star Trek theme has been known to make my eyes water though :) Similarly right at the end of Return of the Jedi (the ordinary version, not the silly new version)

3. Name three songs that turn you on.
None of those really either :) How about David Bowie performing "Dance Magic" in Labyrinth? "Cracked Actor" also by David Bowie. Maybe "Express Yourself" by Madonna

4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
"Celebrate" by Dragon, "Pressure" by Billy Joel, "39" by Queen, "Cherish" by Madonna. But there's a million more.

5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
urgh, too hard :)
