Sunday.  24th.  Kievs for dinner (since we'd been out at the club the previous two nights and missed out).

Kievs and gems

Then MacGyver 3.11, preposterous episode.

Monday.  Got like 10 hours sleep!! Got onto work early to monitor for proxy problems, but it was pretty good most of the day (which was good because I had THREE separate phone calls with the vendor about crap) until everything happened at once and it was a crazy afternoon, but fixed some things. It was a beer kind of evening. Stu decided it was a takeaway kind of evening, so we got Chong Co (our usual prik pao moo grob, and crispy soft shelled crab makarm). Also, I'm now an officially licenced Stumpy keeper.

Chong Co delivery

Tuesday.  Somewhat restless sleep. Lots of rain!! Had a dude come and service the heater.  He's going to try and source a new main board which might hopefully fix our intermittent errors.  Mostly proxy day. Nothing too dramatic. Doing some doco and troubleshooting. Leftover Chong Co for dinner.

Wednesday.  Awake from 3:51 for ages sigh. Trying to get going on some neglected decom work in between proxy work. Stu cooked a nice rigatoni puttanesca for dinner.

Puttanesca pasta

MacGyver and second episode of Three Body Problem (watched the first episode last week).

Thursday.  Somewhat restless sleep. Another distracted day of proxies but also getting ready for another change in the afternoon. Only one other couple at drinks. Mills&Grills for dinner (this time we got a potata and a satay chicken which was quite nice). 20:30 is bed time right?

Friday.  Okish sleep. Spent much of the morning monitoring queues for any issues from the change we made last night. None. Winning! Called POETS and set about my Friday evening. Kievs for dinner then went over to EB's and we watched The Shining which I'd never actually seen before. Weird as hell though WTF?  That's Kubrick for you.

Kievs and gems

Saturday.  Okish sleep.

Rosemary flowers

Tony joined me on a walk up Mt Rogers which was nice
Trig rainbow

Finished the first pass cull of photos for Mum's 80th slide show. Down to like 3000 photos wheeee!! Went for a very short walk with the sweetie in the afternoon so he could get out of the house for a few minutes.

Flowers outside Damien's

Picked up some veggies from Chris's for dinner.  This is actually a half green meal! Honest!  There's lots of brussels sprouts on the left, as well as a veggie bake of two zucchinis and a head of broccoli on the right (and a packet of goats cheese that was best before January.  She'll be right!).

A very brown green meal

Then continued the weird wtf movie series with Mad Max. Which I've never actually seen. It's rated R and Tony said it's really violent.. but.. well.. it's not. Not compared to so much else that's out there these days. It was actually quite tame. But it's just.. fricken.. weird..!

Sunday.  Okish sleep. Awake from 5 for a while but got back to sleep and slept in til 7:36! Ploughing through photo stuff when Stu suggested we go for a drive. He's been getting a bit of cabin fever being holed up at home being sick all week. So we went out to Tharwa Sandwash. Saw a bunch of birds. And a fox. And a HEAP of blackberry and other weeds. And some turds going fishing when it literally says "no fishing" right there. So that took a few hours out of the afternoon.. hours that I really don't have to spare.. hrmmm.

The heater has been running better since the service on Tuesday.  It did have Err 50 Hi a couple of times but reset got it going.  It's actually been running ok the past few days, but they were able to source a new main board so we'll still get that installed soon.

Sunday.  28th.  Cooked up an epic lamb roast ($22/kg from Tathra Place in the markets) and veggies for dinner, then watched The Big Year (which some random dude on our holiday told us about).  It was a bit "serious" for all the comedic actors in it, but kinda cool.

Monday.  Slept relatively ok I think, for a change.  Spent much of the day geotagging holiday photos.  Stu also pulled out all the bedroom furniture to vacuum nearly 18 years worth of dust behind stuff...

18 years of dust

Had some of Lily's Youfoodz for dinner.

Youfoodz ragu

Watched Professor T 1.5 together then I watched Taxi Driver which I've never actually seen.

Tuesday.  Took ages to get to sleep, epic restless.  Finished geotagging holiday photos.

Ribbon grass flower

In the afternoon we went to Palmerville for a walk and to do some birdwatching.  This Bell 206L-1 (VH-OAS) chopper had been buzzing around Canberra all day, Evoenergy checking powerlines.

Then watched Professor T 1.6 together (end of season one) then I watched a doco on the Titanic - Titanic: Digital Resurrection.  Considering the effort they went to to digitise the ship, the computer graphics they also used were pretty cheesy.  Interesting though.

Wednesday.  April Fools!  Slept okish, only awake for an hour or two around 3.  Back to work.  Yeup definitely an April Fool.  Spent most of the day catching up on chats and emails.

Gecko

The sweetie cooked up a heap of veggies and I fried up some lamb, then we watched Professor T 2.1.

You can tell the sweetie was cooking - the potatoes are all lined up nicely ;)
Veggies and lamb

Then spent the rest of the evening putting up reviews of all the places we stayed on our holiday in booking.com.

Thursday.  Took ages to get to sleep.  Mostly still catching up on crap at work.  Had a gin night at drinks but hardly anyone else turned up.  Sad times.

Gin night

Bus home (trying to save petrol) then made pizzas for dinner and watched Professor T 2.2.

Friday.  Good Friday.  Although not so good for Jesus back in the day.  Slept mostly ok.  Didn't get much done all day sigh.  Pretty much a nothing day.  We did go for another walk in the afternoon to Palmerville to try out Stu's new toy (all the bird pics I'll put in another post one day).

Another grasshopper at Palmerville

Kievs for dinner then Professor T 2.3.  I then watched "Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes" from 2015, which was mostly footage around Christa McAuliffe.. (as an aside, I didn't know that her backup, Barbara Morgan, later went on to be a full-blown astronaut in her own right.. cool!).  Eerily, the peeps that are on their way to the moon right now used booster rockets from the shuttle programme.. that wouldn't be freaky .. at. all.   .. !!)

Saturday.  Only awake for an hour or two around midnight.  Spent literally the entire morning doing housework.  Sigh.  Went out with EB to have a look at the new road around the north/east side of the airport which was pretty cool, had a good long drive around the area, then went in to Quangers for lunch at the Royal Hotel (had a very nice caesar salad).

Stu cooked a tuna bake and veggies for dinner then we watched Professor T 2.4.  I then watched Lantana which I'd never seen before.  Lots of unlikeable characters behaving badly.  Hurrah.

Easter Sunday.  He is risen!  Slept mostly okish I think.  Woke up 6am!  But 5am in reality. Sigh. Didn't achieve really anything all day.  Stu took Stumpy outside for a walk.

Stumpy outside

In the afternoon we went over to Annie's for afternoon tea and catchup with the family.  Pebbles wasn't being *quite* the scardey cat...

Pebbles the cat

Leftovers for dinner.  The just-past full moon was rising and it was like, hey there's four peeps in between me and that bright shiny thing!  Pretty cool!  Then watched Molly's Game, which I'd seen on a plane but Stu hadn't seen.

Monday.  Slept mostly okish.  Got a bunch of Europe 2016 photo stuff done, and a heap of jigsaw.  Stu has cooked up a bunch of veggies to have with some leftover lamb for dinner.

Sunday.  1st February.  How'd it get to be February already?  Had an epic roast pork for dinner. The crackling turned out really well and the meat was pretty good too. Then MacGyver.

Roast pork

Monday.  Went to bed fairly early. Didn't get to sleep for hours (restless legs). Woke up for a bit around 4 because of the epic wind. Then woke up again at 5 because that's what I do. Busy day doing tickets and crap. Stu made a tuna mornay for dinner (onion fried in butter, steamed asparagus (I would have skipped the steaming part as it would have cooked later), tinned tuna, cream, mustard powder and cheese, finished in the oven for 20 minutes).. it was delicious! MacGyver.

Tuna mornay

Tuesday.  Took ages to get to sleep again and then restless. Busy day doing tickets and crap. Stu made cabbage with soft boiled eggs which was nice enough. MacGyver.

Cabbage and eggs

Wednesday.  Slept relatively well. In fact I "slept in" which was a bit annoying because I had to leave early to take the car in for service, and waking up a bit earlier would have given me a bit extra time. Gerald Slaven have changed their drop off procedure. You used to be able to just park in the car park and drop the key in at the office. Now you have to queue up in the parking lot. One at a time you go into the garage and they sort you out and take your key, then you can go and then they park the car before taking the next car. Seems pretty inefficient. hrmmm. Busy day doing tickets and crap. And cleaning up messes cause I can't help myself. Leftover pork and salad for dinner.

Sunset

Thursday.  Busy day doing tickets and crap. Went to Bar 59 for drinks as Neil was off getting his knees manipulated.

Bar 59

I thought the lens flare on this photo of a cockatoo outside the Labor Club was pretty cool..

Pizzas for dinner then watched Hook, which I haven't seen in probably 25-30 years.

OMFG there was a mouse in the house!!!!! First time we've seen a mouse in here since when we first moved in. Even during the mouse plague of a few years ago we didn't see any.  Don't know what's changed.  Maybe they were desperate to find water after all the weeks of no substantial rain.

Friday.  Meh sleep.

My work desktop wouldn't render on my left screen after my last reboot.  hrmmmm.
Funky desktop

Busy day doing tickets and crap.

Kievs and veggies

This was funny..  Yup, we had chokos! Was never really a fan.  We also had corned beef and white sauce (I didn't like it - I thought it was too salty); ham steaks (not actually spam) but floured and fried which I actually liked; devon - not really a fan, even now I'm not a big ham eater; steak and kidney, yeup Mum used to do that, really didn't like it; rissoles, well how could you not!  Fun stuff.

Saturday.  Spent much of the morning sorting Lego. Mid afternoon we headed over to Mishi's for a games afternoon/evening. Best I can tell, this is the first time since 2016 we'd been over!!!!!  I knew we hadn't been since pre-covid but what the hell?!? Chatted for a while in the lounge room, then chatted for a while around the table, then played a game of Ticket to Ride (Asia expansion), which was a bit confusing to begin with but we eventually got the hang of it.  I came second or third (out of five).

Ticket to Ride Asia

There was Turkish delivery for dinner then we played a game of regular Fluxx then a game of Pirate Fluxx. The first game was one of the most complicated games of Fluxx I've ever played, with some rules that made for a lot of confusion (eg inflation).

Mishi's cat

Sunday.

It rained overnight!!!!

Tubs full of rain

Out of sorts all day (maybe feeling like I lost a quarter of my weekend, and just generally feeling overwhelmed). Food shopping after lunch.  Stu is cooking some chicken and mushrooms for dinner..

Sunday.  25th.  Stoopidly hot day.  I should have taken some screenshots when it got even hotter later in the week..

Epic hot 25 January

So we turned the oven on and cooked a cauliflower bake and other veggies. As you do. Then watched Kangaroo Island (2024 movie).

Cauliflower bake and veggies

Monday.  Nice quiet day. With an epic lunch at the Burns Club Star Buffet with David and Kellie (they'd come up for the drone show). Whoops.

Star Buffet lunch

I started to feel full about half way through this

And by this point I was feeling like Mr Creosote but still had dessert to get through..  They totally should have After-Dinner-Mints because that would just be funny.

Star Buffet lunch

Kambah pool perhaps? hehe

No dinner required so Stu got himself a pizza. Then we watched Inside Job, a documentary on the 2008 GFC.  Made in 2010 yet we still hadn't seen it.

Tuesday.  Went to bed nice and early (while the first drone show was on that I missed out on on account of it was all too hard and I wanted to go to sleep), but awake from 4:11. Mostly finished up the AD rules I've been working on for months, then started in earnest on a cleanup of some desktop objects. My headset dropped out right in the middle of a meeting which was annoying.  Stu cooked some little school whiting with Japanese cucumber salad for dinner, then we put on some MacGyver, which we haven't watched since 2019.

School whiting and cucumber salad

Wednesday.  Slept okish. More work on the desktop and ldap rules. Stoopidly hot - like 42. And the building aircon didn't work half the morning. #grunt.

Had lunch at Rashays for the first time since their $5 lunch specials in 2019.

Rashay's Schnitty and Chips weekday lunch special with creamy mushroom sauce $16.95
Rashay's lunch schnitty

Nearly killed Neil giving him a lift home.. eep!!!!! Mince and salad for dinner then MacGyver.  My headset seems to have a dicky connection - if you hold the mute/volume button cables in the middle just right you can get audio, otherwise nothing.  Annoying.

Thursday.  Took hours to get to sleep and restless half the night. Sigh. Probably the weather - way too hot even with the cooler going. LDAP rules and testing for a change. Good drinks. Made three pizzas for dinner - a pepperoni and feta, an olive and capers and a mushroom.  Then MacGyver.

Keto pizzas

Stu got out his epic mouse mat in the last week or so and put out some of his ships..

Friday.  Slept okish til about 5:15. Spent pretty much all day doing a huge cleanup of objects for our desktops. It was crazy. Five different firewalls and dozens of objects on each. Mental. Stu lent/gave me another headset but it's very heavy. Kievs for dinner then MacGyver.

Kievs and fries

Saturday.  Hot and restless. So not great sleep. Fairly quiet day. Did go out to drop off a baking dish to Annie and do our food shopping. Like mad dogs or Englishmen.

Puffin

Pebbles

And with all that new fresh food in the house we got Chong Co for dinner. hrmmm.

Chong Co delivery

Then watched The Boy and the Heron which was.. weird.. even for Ghibli standards. It was stoopid hot today, even with the cooler going hard it's still hot in the house. Well ok 24.4, but that's hot for me!!

Sunday.  Slept relatively well considering the heat. Another quiet day of fish and photo stuff and not having time for music because I spent most of the afternoon cooking keto breakfasts for the next week. hrmm.  Oh, that's the first use of a Coles baking dish I got for free a few years ago, but pressed into service after I cracked our last baking dish putting a frozen turkey roll into a hot oven..

Monday.  Slept okish I guess. Ok day at work, got some stuff done. Talked to Mum after work. Epic stress. Epic drama. Not to mention the STRESS that Mum and I are both feeling. Epic depressed about it all. The sweetie cooked some nice pork rissoles for dinner which was lovely of him.

Stu's rissoles

DS9 3.14 which was pretty silly.

Tuesday.  Took well over an hour to get to sleep. This is what happens when you *don't* drink. Somewhat restless sleep. Bits and pieces at work and even managed some programming in between interruptions. Europe photo culling, DS9 3.15.

I'm not sure which I prefer.  Probably the phone photo - everything is in focus.  The Canon's depth of field is so ridiculously shallow that you can't get everything in focus, and there's abberations.  At least most of the crap on the window is blurred out.

Wednesday.  Took til like midnight to get to sleep.  Sigh.  This is what happens when you *don't* drink. Somewhat restless sleep.   Rinse and repeat.  Pretty good progress on a script I'm working on, although hit a roadblock doing something simple. Leftover butt cheeks and cabbage for dinner, DS9 3.16. More Europe photo culling. Holiday stuff for Mum.

Thursday.  Slept kinda okish. Got a few bits and pieces done. Pizzas for dinner. DS9 3.17.

Friday.  Woke up at dentist time and only got like 3/4 hour more sleep after that. Hurray. Frustrating day fighting with Powershell. I too dumb. Leftover lamb and veggies for dinner. DS9 3.18. Dumb episode.

Saturday.  Woke up early I think. Mostly uneventful drive to Sydney. Followed a Murray's coach from the Barton Highway to Picton Road which was pretty cool. At one point a Tesla passed us which had a sticker to the effect of "I bought this before Elon went crazy". No rocks on Hanging Rock Road. Bumper to bumper traffic all the way from Yarrawarra to Mum's because of Heathcote Road closure. And the fact that Sydney traffic sucks all kinds of donkey balls. Got to Mum's and we spent most of the afternoon going through holiday stuff. Also checked out backup hard drives and I backed up her computer again. Had TV dinners for dinner. Went for a walk after dinner so Mum could get some milk and I could get a beer. It got very late very quickly.

Mum has these textas of mine that she used long after I stopped using them.  I've had them since I was in primary school, so they're at least forty years old.
They still work.
Mind. Blown.
80s textas

Sunday.  Slept okish. Had to have the door open because it was like 22C in the room - way too hot! It got down to about 19 by morning - just barely tolerable! :) Did some copying of Dad's photos off an external hard drive (possibly the only copy she has of his photos). Also looked at a lot of photos. Went for a long walk around lunch time and picked up a bbq chooken for late lunch. Saw David briefly, went through holiday stuff, then everyone left in different directions. It was after 16:30 by the time I left, way way way too late, so was a pretty tense drive in the dark and the rain. Two wallabies jumped in front of my near Broughton Pass, but luckily didn't hit anything. Late dinner when I got home.

This little house is for sale.  It's on a 1220sqm block.  I guarantee it will be at the very least a duplex but more likely three or four townhouses the next time I see it...

Monday.  Slept okish. Day of appointments and trying to keep on top of crap.

It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours with the sweetie!

Milton Show

Saturday Kit and I went to the Milton Show.  She had a free ticket because she'd been doing an agility demonstration with Biscuit the day before.  Mine was $17.35.

It was a bit noisy and confronting at the start, because you walk into sideshow alley and showbag stands, and they had chainsaws going to chop up wood for the woodchopping demos.  So that was a bit stressful for all of us (we took Mr Floofy).

Walked past all the bright coloured noisy things, and I went in to see the chookens.

Oh hai chooken

Including this hilariously dyed one

Coloured chooken

There was a sculptor there selling big metal sculptures which were pretty cool.

We could hear them talking about a bullock train but the speaker was coming out nowhere near where they were.  Did see some off-duty brahman bulls though.

And I did get stopped by the reptile show.  The dude brought out all these venomous snakes which was pretty cool.  They were all very sluggish, I wonder if they keep them in a cool box so they're docile when they bring them out.

Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours!

Sunday.  11th.  Roast pork for dinner with epic crackling.  I actually had to turn the oven down from max though because it was threatening to set fire to the baking paper.  Next time I'll try it just in a baking dish.  The meat was a little dry though.  There was also blue cheese cauliflower and brussels sprouts, and brussels sprouts with spring onion, bacon and hazelnuts.

Roast pork

Then Sex Education 4.4

Monday.  Slept mostly ok but awake quite early.  Ok day doing stuff I didn't really need to do instead of doing any more training hmm.  For dinner cooked mushrooms and pork in cream and cheese and had it with cabbage and spring onion.  Yummm.

Pork and creamy mushrooms

Tuesday.  Distracting day so didn't get much more training done.  Finished rotating all of David's America photos.  Cooked stir fry pork with veggies for dinner.

Pork stir fry

Then have been trying to catch up on rss feeds.

Wednesday.  Slept mostly ok but woke up early from a disturbing dream of Mum and I watching Dad going for a photo opportunity on a rockshelf and getting swept off said rocks.  Not much of a day.  Leftover cheesy mince and salad for dinner.

Cheesy mince

Thursday.  Slept fairly well.  Had a team lunch at Ikko which was quite good.

Gyu-don at Ikko
Ikko gyu-don

Copied some proxy configs from old to new servers in the afternoon.  First work drinks of the year and it was fairly busy which was really good.  Had a couple of sausages and didn't need dinner.

Candle in a jar

Finished renaming all David's America photos (with date/time).  So that's all his masters processed.  Now I need to decide how many of them to keep.  I feel like I should at least delete any dud photos.  Then I started re-backing them up to my holiday drive.  I also need to decide whether I want to keep an offsite backup of them or not..  Maybe just until I can do a resize working copy.

Friday.  Took a while to get to sleep.  Ok day I guess.  Kit came over after work.  We got Dumpling Inn delivered (hurray they're open again!!  haven't had Dumpling Inn since pre covid) and chatted and went to bed on time.

Saturday.  Woke up around 3:45 and didn't really get any more sleep.

After Kit left I spent the day doing All The Things.  Got lots done, and we even went out for a chemist/food/car wash run.  Leftover pork (refried in lamb jelly from the freezer) and cabbage for dinner.  Then we watched The Orville 2.14 (season 2 finale).  After the hail.

Hail

Sunday.  Stu came to bed late which woke me up but then it took me like an hour to get back to sleep because restless legs.  Doh.  Climbed Mt Rogers first thing, cooked some bacon and eggs for breakfast, then got stuck back into All The Things.  Grumbly thunder for a bit but not enough to turn everything off.  I used iMazing to copy some files to my phone.  It works quite well and just makes new albums with what you import (or you can import into an existing "Mac" folder) and it doesn't clutter up the regular timeline (so when you go to back it up it doesn't show them) and any geotagging will show up on the map.  Super handy.  Just a pity they don't import in alphabetical order.

Kievs in the oven for dinner...

Coast, October

Friday.  Kit was desperate for some company with friends, so we headed down.  Left around 18:00, getting Scottish Restaurant drive through for dinner on the way.

Bungendore station

This was not part of the plan

Otherwise a fairly uneventful drive and we even managed to find the driveway in the dark first go when we arrived at around 20:30.

We met Biscuit's seven new little crumbs (9 days old).

Chatted for a while, and not tooo late a night.

Saturday.

Who wouldn't want to wake up to this crap every morning?  Literally the view out the bedroom window when I woke up.
Morning view

Found myself some leftovers that I'd brought down for breakfast.

Then did all the animals.  There's still Arthur and Frankie the cats, Vicki, Biscuit and her seven crumbs, and Jasper.  Eight ducks (down from fourteen as she sold six of them that morning), about seven or eight guinea fowl, about thirty chickens and a couple of turkeys.  Then Scout and Ricky the horses, Al and Kerry the alpacas, and I dunno like twenty or thirty sheep.  And don't forget that little cow (bull) above.  There were two.  Now there's one.  And a freezer full of the other.

Picked up some pies on the way home for lunch.  I started a jigsaw in the afternoon.  We found some luv-a-duck in the fridge, so had that with some spring onion and cucumber in rice paper rolls (not as good as peking duck pancakes but who cares).  Then chatted and went to bed at normal time.

Sunday.  Did the animals first up.  Then headed into Batemans Bay for brunch.

Eventually left a bit after twelve.  Did some food shopping on the way home so didn't get home til after 15:00.  Exhausted.  And just in time to do my end of weekend routine.

Sunday.  17th.  Backdating because, life.  I need to retire.  I had a nice day doing house stuff and hobbies, but I need a day like that every day for the rest of my life.  Just to keep up.  Cooked RecipeTin Eats garlic roast potatoes to go with some roast lamb (that was sadly very gristly).

Lamb and garlic roast potatoes

Chrome is being super annoying.  My blog is http only.  Because when Movable Type was invented noone used https.  And it hardcodes everything with full urls.  But https is enabled on the domain, and because of that, Chrome will try to use the https site EVEN IF THE LINK YOU CLICK ON IS HTTP!!!  The problem with that is the mixed content.  It renders the images ok (clearly browsers have decided it's "safe" to allow mixed content images), but the style sheet is not rendered so the site looks dumb.  It's pissing me off.

Monday.  Slept ok.  I think.  Stoopidly busy day.  Late finish (doing doco! hurray!) then some weeding.  Leftovers for dinner.  Then spent an hour waiting for the support peeps at Vodien to actually pay attention to the call they're on and reset my cpanel password after the great upgrade fiasco of the other week.  What should have taken all of a few minutes took over an hour.  Sigh.  Gave up using the nice long Kogan iphone cable because it kept not working.  Either not even registering at all, or saying it was charging but wasn't.

Tuesday.  New iphone cable also playing up - saying it was charging but then not doing anything.  Replug it in and it'll actually start charging.  #grunt (although as of nearly two weeks later it's been ok).  Busy day.  Did some firewall cleaning.  Weeding after work.  Some frozen stuff from the parties for dinner.  Finished writing up hotel posts for Europe trip.  And finished season 23 of Air Crash Investigations.

Cape weed may be an invasive species but it is quite pretty

So.  Many.  Weeds.

Two kiev balls left, and those carbonara bites are yummy but the box is a rip off, only like half full.
Leftover party food

Wednesday.  Missed three calls in quick succession while the phone was in the bedroom while I was having breakfast.  Sigh.  Then a stoopidly busy day.

Apparently these are called scilla.  I had one plant of them last year.  This year I have like ten.

David came after work to install the new oven element.  Except.

The design is different.  It wasn't going to fit.  #grunt.  We all had a sad.

Watched The Orville 1.3.

Thursday.

Returned the element in the morning.  So back to square one.  Slightly more productive day.  Trivia night in the evening.  We came fourth.  Some of the rounds were "normal" and therefore fun.  But some of the rounds were just plain evil.  And badly done too.  Like there'd be five-part questions/answers with text so small you could barely read it.  Like this BS.

Trivia BS

How do you even mark that crap??  What if you get one out of order but the rest in order, do you get four out of five or none?  And they did badly acted readings, this time from tv shows, but they didn't learn a damned thing from the previous people that ran it, AND YOU COULDN'T HEAR A DAMNED THING.  Ridiculous.

Friday.  Hurty in the middle of the night.  Zombie day.  Back to cold weather which was nice.

I actually had a really nice day because hardly anyone bothered me all day so I could concentrate on some decommission works.

Did some weeding after work.  Before and after.

Went over to Ben and Sarah's for dinner which was lovely.

Saturday.  Productive morning, and did some food shopping.  Did RecipeTin Eat's mac and cheese for dinner, which was yummy but took two hours.  hrmmm.  It was too late and we were too tired to watch a movie so watched some Death in Paradise.

These cherry tree suckers are like a week or two old.  Sigh.
Weed crap

I guess they're pretty .. but still..

This cracked me up - a lineup of Teslas!  Two parked, and a third one just happened to come alone while I was taking a photo of them!

Sunday.  24th.  Somewhat better sleep.  Weeding, Lego inventorying and building, blogging, tax.  Man, financial crap is such a pain in the @$$.  You have to go into battle with every damned website and fight to get the information you need out of it.  I really hate the ones that don't let you right click to save-as (which is like all of them these days).  One site wouldn't let me download *anything* - you'd click on the link and nothing would happen.  Sigh.  Hate hate hate.  Roast pork for dinner which was yummy.

Then watched the last episode of season 5 of The Crown, which was actually the last episode aired so far.
