Sunday.  1st February.  How'd it get to be February already?  Had an epic roast pork for dinner. The crackling turned out really well and the meat was pretty good too. Then MacGyver.

Monday.  Went to bed fairly early. Didn't get to sleep for hours (restless legs). Woke up for a bit around 4 because of the epic wind. Then woke up again at 5 because that's what I do. Busy day doing tickets and crap. Stu made a tuna mornay for dinner (onion fried in butter, steamed asparagus (I would have skipped the steaming part as it would have cooked later), tinned tuna, cream, mustard powder and cheese, finished in the oven for 20 minutes).. it was delicious! MacGyver.

Tuesday.  Took ages to get to sleep again and then restless. Busy day doing tickets and crap. Stu made cabbage with soft boiled eggs which was nice enough. MacGyver.

Wednesday.  Slept relatively well. In fact I "slept in" which was a bit annoying because I had to leave early to take the car in for service, and waking up a bit earlier would have given me a bit extra time. Gerald Slaven have changed their drop off procedure. You used to be able to just park in the car park and drop the key in at the office. Now you have to queue up in the parking lot. One at a time you go into the garage and they sort you out and take your key, then you can go and then they park the car before taking the next car. Seems pretty inefficient. hrmmm. Busy day doing tickets and crap. And cleaning up messes cause I can't help myself. Leftover pork and salad for dinner.

Thursday.  Busy day doing tickets and crap. Went to Bar 59 for drinks as Neil was off getting his knees manipulated.

Pizzas for dinner then watched Hook, which I haven't seen in probably 25-30 years.

OMFG there was a mouse in the house!!!!! First time we've seen a mouse in here since when we first moved in. Even during the mouse plague of a few years ago we didn't see any.  Don't know what's changed.  Maybe they were desperate to find water after all the weeks of no substantial rain.

Friday.  Meh sleep.

My work desktop wouldn't render on my left screen after my last reboot.  hrmmmm.

Busy day doing tickets and crap.

This was funny..  Yup, we had chokos! Was never really a fan.  We also had corned beef and white sauce (I didn't like it - I thought it was too salty); ham steaks (not actually spam) but floured and fried which I actually liked; devon - not really a fan, even now I'm not a big ham eater; steak and kidney, yeup Mum used to do that, really didn't like it; rissoles, well how could you not!  Fun stuff.

Saturday.  Spent much of the morning sorting Lego. Mid afternoon we headed over to Mishi's for a games afternoon/evening. Best I can tell, this is the first time since 2016 we'd been over!!!!!  I knew we hadn't been since pre-covid but what the hell?!? Chatted for a while in the lounge room, then chatted for a while around the table, then played a game of Ticket to Ride (Asia expansion), which was a bit confusing to begin with but we eventually got the hang of it.  I came second or third (out of five).

There was Turkish delivery for dinner then we played a game of regular Fluxx then a game of Pirate Fluxx. The first game was one of the most complicated games of Fluxx I've ever played, with some rules that made for a lot of confusion (eg inflation).

Sunday.  

It rained overnight!!!!

Out of sorts all day (maybe feeling like I lost a quarter of my weekend, and just generally feeling overwhelmed). Food shopping after lunch.  Stu is cooking some chicken and mushrooms for dinner..

Sunday.  18th.  Stu spent all afternoon prepping veggies for a spectacular tagine.

Only problem is our tagine is quite small so nothing fitted and he ended up having to resort to saucepans. We had Jenn over for dinner and we all enjoyed it.

Monday.  Slept okish. Paperwork for changes and changes. Stu cooked up the mince I cooked on Sunday with some tomatoey goodness and we had that with salad. Beyond Paradise 3.5.

Tuesday.  Slept okish.

We tried out Oishii Go at lunch.  It was *ok* but the takoyaki didn't have much octopus and both of them were cold, which is really not the way to eat takoyaki or tempura.

Cleaning and changes. They think I broke something, but I'm not so sure, and in the middle of it other stuff broke that I was worried would be me but it wasn't. Stressful afternoon so may have had a beer after work. Stu cooked up some leftover Christmas party sausages, with salad for me and sauerkraut for him. Beyond Paradise 3.6 - end of season 3.

There was supposed to be auroras.

There wasn't.

Wednesday.  Slightly late night aurora hunting but then woke up early. Plodding my way through DC rules. Leftovers for dinner then watched part 1 of the Last Night at the Proms from 1984.

Thursday.  Um. Busy day not achieving much. Went to Yat Bun Tong with Neil and XL - first time since 2019!

Nice drinks. Made a pepperoni pizza and a cheeseburger pizza for dinner. Watched the 2025 Beyond Paradise Christmas special.

Friday.  Another busy day not achieving much.

Tried the crispy chicken El Maco at lunch which was quite tasty but a little messy

Got lots done at work between 4 and 6 though when the interruptions stopped. Stu cooked up some couscous and leftover tagine for dinner and we watched Ready Player One.

Saturday.  Headed out to the club fairly early for the committee meeting.

I did some cabinetry priming (pretty much done now), a bit of tidying and vacuuming, some tapestry, and just tried to not feel too miserable in the heat.  Oh and listened to ABC Classic FM's 50th birthday celebrations all day which was a bit of fun because they mostly played "popular" music.. ie.. crap I'd actually heard of.. so that was good.

At happy hour we went up and got in the pool for a couple of hours which was lovely. Dinner was pretty spectacular and then Chris's trivia which was actually quite reasonable this time.

Had another swim before bed (which was a bit late).

Sunday.  Woke up at 6:00. Because that's what I do.

Went up to the shed and did some washing up and tidying then we came home. Fairly quiet day doing some holiday thinking and photo stuff.

Sunday.  4th.  Managed to get the end of last year's photos posted before a storm came through that was a little too close so I shut down my computer (and it BSODed as I was doing it #grunt). Then had to sit around doing nothing much for an hour because my dotz were packed up, Lego was done, jigsaws were all done. So I did some kitchen stuff. Hurray. Dinner was nachos. We are going to get healthy soon, I promise.. haha. 

Watched the Death in Paradise 2025 Christmas special. Then I went to bed. 20:30 is bed time right? Weird going to bed while it's still light though.

Monday.  Slept fairly well. Back at work full time. Sigh. Went back to some decommissioning tickets that have been banking up for the past few months. Went into work at lunch to drop off most of the Christmas party stuffs, then had lunch with Neil at Kingsley's (the mall is feral over the school holidays). Finished the leftover tuna bake for dinner then watched Beyond Paradise 2.1.

Tuesday.  Went to bed at normal time but then didn't get to sleep for HOURS. Sigh. And awake from well before 6 again. Zombie day. Again. Was putting away more Christmas decorations and couldn't find a string of fairy lights. I remember taking them off the lounge where they were, but now I can't find them to put them away. Sigh. Edit: found them, I was confusing them with another string/box. This is what happens when your brain is zombie tired. Lots more decom prep work today. Even did a bit of playing with Powershell/APIs. Dug out some sausages leftover from the Christmas party to have for dinner with some very old pork jelly and very old sauces. One of them might give us food poisoning, we shall see. Beyond Paradise 2.2.

Wednesday.  Slept okish. Disjointed day at work.

We may have gone to Grease Monkey at lunch.  That's like three times in like a month.. whoops..

Thursday.  Spent most of the day deleting stuff which was nice, trying to clear out a backlog of decommissions going back til last September. Drinks at the Labor Club, Dominos for dinner then Beyond Paradise 2.4.

The 8th of January is always the day I remember the Como-Jannali bushfires (32 years ago), my blogiversary (23 years this year!!) and David Bowie's birthday (he would have been 79).  This year smoke from the Victorian bushfires made for a very red sunrise and sunset...

Friday.  

Didn't achieve much in the morning but did some more deletions in the afternoon and some certificate replacements as well. It's been stoopidly hot this week (37C today), and yet we still turned the oven on for #kievfridays. Whoops.

Saturday.  Slept okish I think. Spent pretty much the whole day cleaning the house and cooking. hrmm. Had EffanC over for cheese and champagne and dinner. The lasagna ended up being a bit overdone as noone was really ready for dinner when it was ready, so turned the oven down and let it sit for longer. Still fairly good though. A lovely catchup.

Sunday.  Fairly late night but of course I still woke up at 6:00. Filled the green bin in the morning and did some house stuff and spent entirely way too much time geotagging Dad's photos of Kangaroo Island.

Sunday.  14th.  Backdating this a few days.  Had leftovers for dinner then we watched a documentary "Lost Melbourne" about the loss of a lot of old buildings in Melbourne in the name of progress. Melbourne is still a lot better off than a lot of cities though, even Sydney.

Monday.  Awake from 12 for ages, then again from 5 for ages. Hurray.  Busy day not achieving much.  Went to Four Winds with Tony for our now annual tradition of wine and pizza.  Such a lovely place out there.

Did some Christmas music on the sax in the evening.

Tuesday.  Crap sleep. Awake every hour or so feeling hot and needing to cool down. Another day of not achieving much. But we did have a division Christmas party at work which was nice. Came like second in the two lolly guessing competitions. After work we went and picked up the mother type person at Jolimont then went to the Labor Club for dinner.

Got home and looked at Mum's slide show of Croatia and Greece, then we looked at all of Dad's photos of Tasmania.

Wednesday.  Restless sleep. Fairly chilled morning, did a bit of cleaning.

Eventually D/K/S left Junee so I made apple sauce then a potato bake then another potato bake then the roast pork then a veggie tray bake.

Blue cheese potato bake (with thyme), bacon potato bake, brussels sprouts, sweet potato, spring onion and bacon (with hazelnuts), apple sauce.  Just missing the pork which is in the oven by this point

Just finished doing all that when they arrived - great timing! Kellie brought a heap of noms so we had those and did photos and presents and stuffs while lunch cooked.

The pork turned out fairly well (the crackling worked really well but the meat may have been a little overdone).

Played a game of Five Crowns although I got super frustrated near the end when several rounds in a row people went out before I'd even had one turn, or maybe had just had one turn. So upsetting. I don't even know who won in the end.  Played a bit of Pictionary but just playing through cards not actually using the board. Put on Flying High in the evening. D/K/S left and Mum and I finished watching the movie ourselves.  All in all a lovely day.

Thursday.  Awake from some time after 2. Hurray. Dropped Mum off at Jolimont then went to work. Did a bit of party prep and DC rules work. At drinks I took up all the leftover cans of drinks from the work family party that I bought off Neil and washed them all (they were all covered in dirt). Pizzas for dinner then Love Actually but it was too late a night :(

Friday.  Awake from 4:53.  Sigh.  Then I started thinking about the day's party and all bets were off.  Hurray.  Party prep in the morning then party all afternoon! 

Sadly I didn't catch any birds this year.  Leftovers for dinner then we watched part 1 of a documentary on the Gamestop nonsense. 

Saturday.  Awake from like 3:30. Hurray.  Spent much of the morning sorting out the rubbish and recycling from the party. Super annoyingly, some helpful person tried to clean up, and very helpfully threw out a bunch of the plastic forks. Pissed off about that because those things are irreplaceable!!! I also chipped a tooth on the last of the pork crackling I had at lunch. Sigh.  Storms and epic clouds in the evening.

Sunday.  2nd.  All The Leftovers for dinner - some pasta from the club, some veggies from last weekend, and some bits of cut up bread from the club fried in bacon fat (wheee). Stranger Things 2.1.

Monday.  Restless sleep.

Was about to do Monday morning STUFF including cleaning the kitchen and doing some weeding before my washing was ready to hang out, only to find a bit watery mess. Yesterday when I did a water change in Chrissie's tank I went around watering all the plants. I probably put too much into the big plant above the bins, so I stood with a towel waiting for it in case it overflowed. It came about half way up the tray then stopped, so I carried on. This morning there was water all over the top shelf, drips down the wall, drips onto the shelves and rungs below and over all the bins. Fricken great. So then I had clean up the mess. I don't have TIME for this trash. And that reminds me, I overfilled one of the ferns on top of Stumpy's tank and that went everywhere too. Sigh. Being NEIL and fighting with proxies at work. Nine minutes of weeding at lunch. Had to deal with mail servers being spazzes so didn't finish up til nearly dinner time. Sigh. Need. More. TIME!!! Stu cooked a couple of pretty spectacular pasta bakes with pasta leftover from the club event. The puttanesca one was pretty good, the creamy one needed a little more cream (we ran out) but was still tasty (and crispy!).

Stranger Things 2.2 then photo picking and half watching/listening to Half-Life Histories.

Tuesday.  Awake from around midnight for a couple of hours hurray. NEIL/proxies.

It hailed in the morning!

I wasn't in any sweeps this year (they've mostly died post covid) so picked number 14 (Half Yours, based on my birthday) before the race to see what would happen.  And he won!  With the second female jockey winning race.  Although I was a bit disturbed about all the blood, they said it was a "minor cut" on the inside of his cheek, but what from?  The bit? hrmmm

Wednesday.  5th.  Remember remember.  Slept somewhat ok. I think. It was nice and cold which helped. Although it meant the house was like 13C in the morning. Couldn't be stuffed running around and closing up the vents (again) so endured the cold.

NEIL/proxies (rinse and repeat). One of my fingernails is falling off. Hurray. Leftovers for dinner. Stranger Things 2.4. I can't SEE anymore. For the last few months I've been able to use my regular glasses for the computer but now it's going back to me needing to wear my "computer" glasses. Sigh. Started watching V for Vendetta but only got half way through.

Thursday.  Slept okish I think. NEIL mostly and dealing with whatever crap people came to me with. Did spend a bit of time planning how to get off some legacy load balancers. Good drinks.

Chris didn't have any "special sauce" so the one on the bottom had a sauce of mayo and tomato paste.  We put pickles and mince on it to make a "cheeseburger" pizza.

Tried to have a catchup day - tried to get my inbox under control. Still a long way to go. TV dinner for dinner (the sweetie was at the club) then watched The China Syndrome (influenced by all the those Half-Life Histories videos!). It was freaky that this movie came out just a few days before the Three Mile Island accident!

Saturday.  Awake from 4:28 when a massive bang woke me up. Nothing much on the radar or lightning maps. Was hoping it was just a "bolt out of the blue" but no, crazy lightning all around. Turned off my computer and disconnected a few things, then didn't get back to sleep. Hurray. Mostly house stuff in the morning and some slide rescanning. David and Kellie came over later in the afternoon and we locked in Christmas plans with the mother type person. Had a drink or two and a nice catchup.  Early dinner of kievs, then David and Kellie went off to see Ricky Martin, then the sweetie and I watched Back to the Future and V for Vendetta.

Sunday.  Couldn't get to sleep til like 1am on account of epic restless legs. Sigh. Took David and Kellie out for brunch as a belated birthday brunch for David so that was quite nice to hang out.

Had a quick walk down to the lake after.

These turds where zooming up and down the lake.  Pretty sure petrol motor boats are not allowed on Lake Ginninderra.  hrmmmm.

Then we went to Vinnies at Mitchell then the Green Shed sorry Vinnies sorry Goodies Junction.

Came home and David fixed the last Mirabella light hurray! (took him a while - in the end he did what the sweetie was going to do - take out all the "good" lights and keep turning on/off until the last one went into pairing mode).  Then D&K went home, the sweetie went food shopping, and I did some music.  And just like that the weekend is over.. hrmmm..

Sunday.  3rd.  It's going to be an eat the fridge and freezer week this week.  Starting with a cabbage bake (spiked with yellow curry paste) and some nice frozen fish fillets I got at Chris's a while back.  Then DS9 5.18.

Monday.  Pretty distracted morning at work so didn't get much done.  Did a bit of cleaning planning in the afternoon.  Finished culling Europe 2016 photos for the blog!!  DS9 5.19.

Tuesday.  We changed the house battery mode to "save battery for power outages" yesterday so it didn't drain overnight, and instead kept the lights on (and my computer running) while sparkies a couple of houses down had the power off for their work for an hour or so.

Did some deleting which was nice, and some more networking stuff for Jim (that I missed last week cause I don't *do* layer 1/2 heh).  Also got a couple of scripts working which made me pretty happy.  Made up a potato bake for dinner to use up a bunch of things, then DS9 5.20.  Dumb episode. 

Wednesday.  Slept okish.  Tried to do an improvement on one of my scripts but it was too complicated and my perfectionism got in the way so ended up abandoning it for now.  Leftovers for dinner I think.  DS9 5.21.

Thursday.

Awake stoopidly early.  Did some more decom planning.  Chris didn't have any pepperoni so I made olive and feta pizzas.  Stu tells me they were good.  I miss being able to to taste salt!!

DS9 5.22 - somewhat interesting moral dilemma.  Then Europe photo labelling.

Friday.  Did some tidying of all the rules we've setup for the potential new load balancing solution.  May have had cheesy vegemite scrolls for lunch.

Then deleted a heap of stuff out of the old prod load balancing environment. Deleting crap on a Friday afternoon.. what could go wrong? ;)  Kievs and fries for dinner then DS9 5.23.

Saturday.  Woke up at like 4:30 or something #grunt.  House and hobbies kind of a day.  At one point I was trying to rename a folder in Windows Explorer and it just froze up.  I looked at Event Viewer and my heart sank when I saw a disk bad blocks error.  So now I have to figure out what I've done on my computer since my last good backup on Wednesday.  And wonder if I can trust that disk anymore.  So anyway, later on I was trying to find out what the hell disk was DR9.  OMFG.. rm9's comments.. THIS!!.. In the end used Winobj64.exe from Sysinternals to figure out it was actually a USB stick that I'd plugged in at the same time that had the error.  Phew!!!  I let the sweetie order a karaage chicken pizza for dinner.  Whoops.  Then we watched The Post.  I had literally no idea what it was about other than it stared Tom Hanks, and that I assumed it was about the Washington Post.  For some reason I also picked the music.  John Williams!  But definitely not in your face, quite subtle.  Stu wondered early on if it was about Daniel Ellsberg, which he was right about too.

Sunday.  Another house and hobbies day again.  Having a beer while I write this - first drink in over two weeks.  Sigh.  

Sunday.  27th.  Made up a potato bake from some of the potato I'd sliced up for the club but ran out of space to use on the night.

Monday.  Happy birthday Dad! Got a bit of cleaning done and a bunch of networking stuff done for Jim. Leftovers for dinner then DS9 5.13. Europe photo culling, started Black Mirror 7.5 (but ran out of time to finish before bed).

Tuesday.

Went to bed pretty early, but then woke up at 4 for at least an hour. Poisoning day 2.

Quiet afternoon mostly doing jigsaw and made a potato bake with the last of the potato leftover from the club, and also some tomatoes that were very old and needed using, and the last two mini capsicums.

Also finished Eulogy on Black Mirror. DS9 5.14. Earlyish night.

Slept mostly ok. Bit of crap day, morning just disappeared, got to do some cleaning, but then sunk into a hole of trying to clean up a mess that's been festering for ages.

I've seen my birds once since last winter.  They still came to see me today.

Pizzas for dinner. Made a nice potato, blue cheese and rosemary pizza. Well Stu said it was nice. I can't tell anymore, salty stuff doesn't taste salty.

Olive oil base with some herbs and garlic powder, bit of pizza cheese, some slices of potato bake, blue cheese, spring onion, rosemary and a bit more cheese. 

I'll have to make it again when my sense of taste comes back...

Far out I hate Apple. It's utter trash. I've missed a couple of calls from the mother type person this week.  She left messages that I played, and then I replied via SMS. But because Apple mixes up the home phone and mobile phone into the one thread, when I reply it disappears into the ether and she never gets my messages. So I've had to split out her contact into two so that the mobile is not related to the home phone. Why is Apple so bad??? Why why why???

Cranky and bloated. And the trashy dog abusing neighbour's dog is barking again. Those people should be banned from owning dogs.

Friday.  Slept okish. Mostly staring at a big mess all day. Found some stuff to delete late in the afternoon. Kievs for dinner. Black Mirror 7.6.

Saturday.  Slept okish. Very quiet slo-mo day. I did get out after lunch to see my birds and try and stimulate the bowels. Started my next Diamond Dotz picture. Dumpling Inn delivery for dinner.

Then watched Return of the Jedi.

Sunday.  Slept okish. Another fairly quiet day although did get a few things done.  OMFG windows *and* chrome have remembered my blog image folder settings!!!

Sunday.  13th.  Cooked quite a nice roast beef and veggies for dinner. DS9 4.25 (end of season 4, and Nana Visitor is in fact pregnant (with Bashir's baby no less haha)).

Monday.

Up half the night doing All The Poop.  Hurray.  Had a very slo-mo day.  After dinner and DS9 5.1 took my temperature and it was over 38. So off to hospital we go. Hurray.  Utterly utterly miserable experience.  Really don't know if I should have gone.  But I did get All The Antibiotics so there's that.

Tuesday.  Got home around 15:00.  The sweetie got a vomit pizza from Dominos (and a pepperoni).  DS9 5.2 then straight to bed.

Still not as good as the original.  

Wednesday.  Slept from like 8pm til after 6:30. Winning. Quiet day of dev environment cleaning. Cooked up some leftover beef with cabbage, cauliflower rice, yellow curry paste, lime juice and sour cream then DS9 5.3 which was kinda fun but I still don't think Keiko would have been that happy about the situation.

Thursday.  Finished the dev environment cleaning work I've been working on. The environment there is so *clean* now! Cooked some chicken pieces and veggies for dinner then DS9 5.4.

Thursday.  Not pizza!! *gasp*

Friday.  Did a big catchup on a backlog of decom work that's been piling up. Kievs and cauliflower for dinner (with some panko breadcrumbs and some parmesan cheese).

DS9 5.5 then Trainwreck: Poop Cruise documentary on the Carnival Triumph fire. This one was apparently a lot more miserable for passengers than the Carnival Splendor fire that John Heald wrote about.

Saturday.  Slept ok. First day of feeling somewhat in control and with energy, and managed to get a fair bit done.

The last of the mini capsicums.  They were green when I picked them off the frost-bitten plant in June, and turned orange over a couple of weeks!

Finished off the beef with some cabbage, cauliflower rice, red curry paste and cream.

Then we watched The Empire Strikes Back. Couldn't help myself but pick holes in it, some things I'd never really thought of before.

Sunday.  Slept mostly ok. Got out of the house this morning - went to the arboretum with Tony to try out the new lens. Pretty happy with it. I'm glad I got it. And a nice catchup with Tony too.  Pretty quiet day otherwise.  First beer in two weeks.  Wheeeeeee!

Sunday.  6th.  Had all four stove elements going tonight cooking all the food.

I cooked up a bunch of mince/onion/garlic/bacon for use whenever. I also cooked some salmon, some broccolini, and a very nice sauce of double cream, 2 ice cubes of lemon juice, a bit of salt, pepper and a bunch of dill. Turned out quite well.

Then watched DS9 4.20.

Monday.  Slept mostly ok. Busy day of crap and meetings and not getting any time for cleaning. Redo of the salmon (with the other *huge* piece of salmon we got the other that I had to cut in two) with creamy lemon pepper and dill dressing, this time with cabbage and spring onions with kewpie sesame dressing. DS9 4.21.

Tuesday.  

Acts 5:30 The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead--whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. 31 God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins... as Peter and the apostles are being questioned by the high priest.  God did it.

Didn't get to sleep til after 3. Stoopid restless legs. Hurray. Off to ICON to get poisoned.

Feeling fine until after dinner when the guts started reacting. Hurray. The sweetie cooked sausages with a cabbage bake and brussels sprouts and bacon and hazelnuts. DS9 4.22.

Wednesday.  Got to sleep ok, but then awake from before 3 til after 5 hurray. Nice quiet day, catching up, getting crap under control, just taking it easy. The sweetie reheated the sausages and veggies with some extra tomatoes and shallots which was all very nice, then DS9 4.23.

Thursday.  Slept fairly well til around 4:30 then awake for at least an hour or so, but then some more sleep til 7:30. Hid out and did dev cleaning today which was nice. Pizzas for dinner then DS9 4.24 which was pretty tedious.

Friday.  Slept okish I think. Another cleaning day. Went and got hair chopped. Looks like a mop.  Tony brought us kebabs for lunch which was sweet of him. Kievs for dinner.

Death in Paradise 14.8 (end of season 14) and the end of the Bomb and the Cold War. Achy evening.

Saturday.  Slept okish I think. Achy day. Mostly jigsaw. The sweetie cooked up some mince and a bunch of veggies for dinner (including a blue cheese cauliflower bake) and we watched Star Wars (A New Hope).

Sunday.  Okish sleep. Achy day. Mostly jigsaw.

Sunday.  29th.  Dinner was leftovers I brought home from the club. DS9 4.18 then Lego Masters 7.9.

Monday.  Early night, but took ages to get to sleep then woke up at like 3:30 for ages. Did eventually get a bit more sleep but not much.

Spent the day staring at the rules in a dev environment that are a mishmash of several versions of things including imports of prod. It's a complete mess. I've been wanting to clean it up for literally seven years and finally had a good excuse because I need to do it to prep for a project that will require us to actually do real work in there (and I can't see anything in there at the moment). Andor 2.10 then Lego Masters 7.10 (semi final - a Harry Potter build which was a heap of fun!).

Tuesday.

Slept mostly ok. Definitely had energy this morning more so than other mornings recently. Had my morning routine done by like 7:40 instead of after 8. Not quite the whole day cleaning up dev (too many people wanting things) but I did delete nearly 1360 policies that weren't in use - winning!!

It was perfect soup weather on Tuesday

Cooked a tuna bake (forgot the dill) with brussels sprouts and broccolini for dinner.

Andor 2.11. The second half of this series has definitely picked up quite a bit, I'm enjoying it a lot more. Then it was sorting out Mum's photos, removing some duplicates and getting a "definitive" version for picking later.

Wednesday.  

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out .. after God heals a lame man through Peter, and Peter is telling the onlookers about Jesus.  What he said.

Slept mostly ok. Deleted more crap today. Went into the city after work to get a filter for a new lens I'm hoping to get because Ted's said it wouldn't be available til like September. Turns out it was the lens not available not the filter.. which makes more sense but FFS now I have two filters and no lens. Sigh.

Leftovers for dinner. Andor 2.12 (season finale) then Lego Grand Masters of the Galaxy 7.11 (season finale). **spoilers** .. I reckon Trent and Alex's build was totally win-worthy, but obviously Brickman preferred the art of Henry and Cade's.

Thursday.  Slept okish. More deleting crap and tidying and documenting what's left in the dev environment I'm working on.

Good drinks although not many people. Pizzas then DS9 4.19 then the Bomb and the Cold War episode 8. Before it started I was telling Stu that I'd really like to watch a documentary on some thing I was thinking about.. but we started watching the show and forgot about it. And then for the life of me I couldn't remember what it was that we were talking about. And neither could Stu. All we could remember was it was some engineering thing, because I remember telling him that I liked engineering stuff like dams, bridges and towers, but I never could have been an engineer cause I'm dumb and no good at advanced maths. Oh well.

Friday.  

Acts 4:12 - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved .. Peter talking about Jesus to the High Priest, elders and the teachers of the law in Jerusalem after he was arrested for talking about the resurrection.

Slept relatively ok. Did a bit of tidying/documenting but not as much as I'd have liked. Found this video by Kurzgesagt quite depressing.  Chris didn't have Kievs so we had some chicken pieces but they were a bit too spicy for me. I did make a nice dipping sauce of yoghurt, garlic powder, lemon juice and dill though.

Death in Paradise 14.7 then Flying High because I needed something light.

Saturday.  Awake from like 1:30 til after 5 or so. Stressing about All The Things. Hurray. Surprisingly unzombielike though. Mostly Lego filing all day. Annie came over for a while in the afternoon which was nice and she brought some nice peanut butter and choc chip cookies she made. Dumpling Inn for dinner then we watched Rogue One, which worked well after just finishing Andor.

Sunday. 

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.... oof yeah that doesn't happen much anymore!

Slept through til ~4 before waking up and never getting back to sleep. Stressing about All The Things. Got some stuff done during the day but not nearly enough.
