Last Christmas I was looking at what Lego Christmas trains existed. I found the 10254 Winter Holiday Train but it was no longer produced and cost hundreds even second hand.
But recently I was able to borrow it off Jo (originally Riley's) so that I could note any missing pieces so they could do it next Christmas.
It was a super fun build, I really enjoyed it. There were quite a few pieces missing but I was able to substitute or replace some of them with Vic's. The rest I bought online. Bricklink make it really easy to buy out parts on a wishlist - you just say "buy" and it'll bring up a list of sellers that have the pieces you need. Awesome! Found a reasonably priced seller that didn't have a minimum buy. It was only about dollar's worth of Lego and like four dollars postage.
During construction with incorrect and missing pieces
When you move the carriage the tree will turn around, and there's a little tiny train under the tree that goes around with it! Very cool!
The presents are super cute - I really liked the tiny fire engine and boat

This was for the windup car
Thanks Jo for letting me do this!
