The 16th of May 2001 was the day my flat settled. I'm pretty sure I had to go into the city to do something for the settlement. Man that was a stressful couple of days. I needed a bunch of extra cash to pay for all the little bits and pieces for settlement, but I wasn't going to get the cash I was counting on from the First Home Owner's Grant until a bit later. So I needed a few thousand dollars in a hurry. Luc and Lizzi came to the rescue and transferred some money for me, but there was no guarantee it was going to come through overnight. So I actually rang up the bank to see about getting a short term loan. Luckily the money came through overnight, I could pay all the bills, and pay them back again a few weeks later when the dust settled.
