Moving on through the puff pastry experiments ;)
For this one I only used parmesan (some Millel shredded stuff, and some other stuff we'd frozen before we went on holidays). I think I should probably have used tasty and/or pizza blend as well, as the end result of these was a little dry.
Top a sheet of puff pastry with cheese
Put another layer of puff pastry on top. The recipe I followed suggested using a rolling pin to flatten the layers and cheese together. Not sure it really made any difference, they separated as soon as I touched them anyway. I've still got the plastic backing on here to make that easier.
Cut into ~2cm strips (eight strips worked nicely here)
Twist!
Top with some more parmesan cheese (I used some powdered stuff) becauce you can never have too much cheese. I would have basted these with a little milk, but we were out! Gasp! The recipe called for basting these with a beaten egg to make them go golden, but probably would have made quite a mess hehe.
Bake at ~175C for fifteen minutes.
Yum! But like I said, a little dry.
