On Saturday night we went to see Star Trek: Beyond.
A massive CGI-fest followed.
It was all very pretty and all, but the whole thing felt a bit ..
Silly..
Stu thought the bad guy's motives were a little weak.
I just kept seeing other movies.
Like Star Trek Generations.
And Star Trek IV.
And that scene from Mars Attacks. You know the one I mean.
Jaylah was pretty cool though. And they were pretty brave giving Sulu a husband. Obviously a nod to George Takei, although he apparently wasn't happy about the idea. And they paid homage to Leonard Nimoy's passing as well which was nice.

I really enjoyed it. But now that you have me thinking about it, Idris Elba's baddie really was kinda weak in the motivation front. By Jaylah more than made up for it. I hope she joins the cast.
Kazza the Blank One
The more you think about it the more plot holes there are. Prolly best not to think too much about it ;)
