Difference

Ten years ago this month I was in the countdown to my 30th birthday.  And I was pretty depressed about it.  You see for a Christian not to be married by the age of thirty meant there was obviously something wrong with you.  I truly believed that.  I *knew* there was something wrong with me. (me).  I was in a lot darker place back then.  I felt like I had very few friends.  Although I think mostly it was the hormones (but that's a story for another blog post).

But then I met Stu in 2005 and generally I've been better.  Things still piss me off, and I still get depressed, but I'm not *lonely*.

And in contrast to ten years ago where I was dreading my birthday, this year I'm pretty excited about it.
