Floriade Nightfest 2011
Thursday night I probably gave myself pneumonia in the freezing and wet air, and headed out with the sweetie, Neil and Chris B and family to Floriade Nightfest. As I said last time, I really don't think it's worth $25 entry. Still, the lights were pretty.
This year the flowers were arranged into patterns, but you'd really need to see them from the air to actually see those patterns.
Last time this same walk had strings of coloured lanterns. This year they had vertical strings of leds that started off as just white and falling gently with a soundtrack of forest rain. They didn't really need the soundtrack for the rain, as it was raining a bit anyway. But then the music changed and became a full on light show to music! That was pretty cool :)
The other thing I quite enjoyed were the jugglers who had lots of lighted props, which made for some really cool painting with light photos.
Finally a bit of a wander before heading home.
Real orchids encased in resin
I'd really love a string of these... really!! :)
Mobile ATMs!
Very cool! Especially like the light pictures. ;-)
