Today all I managed to do was a day and a half of geotagging, and a day and a half worth of selecting highlights photos for the blog. The hours it takes to do all of it is just insane.
So anyway.
All I've managed to complete tonight is the blog post for our first day in London. Took seven hundred photos that day, and cutting them down for a blog entry proved nearly impossible. In the end I went with fifty one.

For the past couple months I've been slowly adding location data to my photo library. The "Aperture" program I use makes this fairly easy, as I just drag them to a map and it's done, but it still takes a shockingly long time. I've barely made a dent, but I forge onward. :-)

Perhaps giving up is for the best! It sounds like something that has been really frustrating you. Did you have the GPS tracker at the time and an app that places it into the photo data for you relatively automatically? What were you trying to do them "in time" for? If your heart is set on doing it maybe do a little at a time. A couple of photos to illustrate your blog is cool, no need to show every detail if its too painful to cull to the best and it can always be expanded over time :)

Trying to do them on an anniversary type event *forces* me to do it. Otherwise they'd sit there forevermore in the "I really must do that one day" pile.
