Fair warning for Tony
This first spider was under the pool skimmer box cover. At first glance it looked like a redback spider, but when I looked again I wasn't so sure. Anyone know?
And then there's the actual redback spider that's currently living in our garage under the push mower. So long as she stays just there I don't mind. But if she disappears I'll get worried!
*faint*
How about a picture of, oh, I don't know, butterflies, ladybirds, black cockatoos?!?!
March 3, 2011 11:42 PMUgh - ever since we built our new house - we have found 3 red backs!!!! We never had them before?!
March 4, 2011 8:31 AMRedbacks are into black leatherwear in a big way. They are also known to party hard and on occassion may resort to the occasional skinny dip. Chlorine gives them a high that needs to be experienced to be believed.
Given you found this one near the pool skimmer, I believe you have managed to catch a rare glimpse of a redback with out its leathers on. Its probably madly looking for its clothes and worrying profusely about what the wife will think if he gets home naked and smelling like chlorine.
March 4, 2011 9:02 AMT: butterflies have been done, ladybirds - good idea, never photographed them before, and I do have a couple of crappy black cockatoo photos, but not worth posting!
L: maybe it's just been a bumper year for critters in general with all the rain we had?
C: as discussed yesterday, are you feeling ok? :):)
March 5, 2011 3:52 PMFirst they will destroy our transport system, and then....?
