We replaced the beef with TVP for a vegetarian option and skipped the chilli, but otherwise followed the recipe pretty much exactly. It turned out quite well - maybe slightly dry - but my fault for not adding enough moisture in the middle.
I liked this recipe because for the most part it used "whole" things - whole packets of things and whole onions etc. Makes shopping for it very easy.
Sadly, like the lasagna, it takes a *lot* of effort and time to make.
And it doesn't photograph well at all :) (There were two baking dishes-full from the packet of tubes)
