House!!!
So settlement on our house was today.
Needless to say we are very excited :)
Went over after work and took a hundred or two photos of the place. Discovered you *can* actually see the tower from one of the rooms, but really only if the breeze is blowing a tree out of the way :)
The real estate agent gave us not just a bottle of champagne (Moët & Chandon baby!!) but a whole platter of yummy nibblies. We stuck the champagne in the freezer for half an hour and have been enjoying it immensely.

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to drink the Moët & Chandon. You're supposed to keep it in a pretty cabinet ... quite possibly near your gunpowder, turpen-teen, dynamite and laser pointers. That's how the British do it, anyway.
October 28, 2008 12:05 AMHappy congratulations!

and champagne is for enjoying!
October 28, 2008 8:12 AMAlas. It appears turning jela-tin into jela-teen was hard on my teenaged ears so I went with turpen-teen in place of turpen-tyne.
Of course, after hearing it that first time I was singing along and never gave Freddy the chance to correct me.
October 29, 2008 5:30 AMFiona: definitely!! Good luck with your move this weekend too
Delmer: and so now thirty years later you stand corrected..? :)
