My guppies had babies!!!

| | Comments (3)

I noticed this morning that mum was looking very big, and wondered when she'd be popping. Well she popped this afternoon some time. At least 10-11 babies we counted. Was very excited :):):) I saw one get eaten by a krib, so fished out (pardon the pun heh) five of them and put them in a bucket. I somehow doubt any of the others will survive. But if the five rescued ones survive til Friday I'll probably take them up to Merideth who is inheriting another tank (from the dude who I originally got the guppies off in the first place).

May need to invest in a baby chamber tank for future generations though :)

My mother's guppies are inbred! They keep breeding! There are currently about 15 babies born about 3 weeks apart in a peanut butter jar at the moment, and I think one of the big females is pregnant again!
