Goodbye Angel

| | Comments (3)

A very sad day here. I had to euthanase one of my black angels :(:(
Since the weekend she'd been totally flipped out, swimming at odd angles and bashing into the glass, and her fins were quite damaged, possibly from the krib biting her whenever she got anywhere near him on the bottom of the tank. When I came home tonight she was face down in the gravel and looking pitiful. I couldn't bear to see her suffer, so put her in a small amount of water in the freezer.

She was two and a half years old.

Sorry about your loss. Losing a pet (or anyone for that matter) is not easy. I lost two cats a few years ago. I can't get any cats as a result. I feel like I'm trouncing on their memories.

aww you poor thing *hugs*

admittedly you don't get quite so attached to fish, but she was one of my originals from when I first setup the tank, not to mention being one of my most beautiful fish.

wow. That's how you euthanase fish. You learn something new everyday!!!

Well, my dog was put down while I was away, and no one told me until I came home to an empty house!
