Mystical Ball

| | Comments (24)

OK so I was bored tonight. By the time it gets to 8:30 it's too late to start any sort of project. So what else do you do when you're bored, you navigate to bored.com. From there, link to www.mysticalball.com

Now can someone please explain to me how in the heck that works ?!??!?!??

OK I've studied it some more and I think I can see how it works. But kinda spooky the first few times it sees what you are thinking. But in truth there's only a small number of answers for any given round, and that symbol is given to each number.

We also seem to have equalled with China in the medal tally, hopefully Thorpie or Hackett will win in the 200m tonight and we'll inch ahead.

Either I was doing my math wrong, or my aluminum foil deflector beanie really DOES work, cause Mr. Swishy got it wrong about half the time.

On second thought, its a mathematical trick.
99-18=81
98-17=81
97-16=81
96-15=81
95-14=81
94-13=81
et ctetera.
Seems the only numbers that really matter are 81, 72, 66, 63, 59, 54, 45, 36, 34, 27, 22, 18, 9, and zero. Evidently thru some phenomenon that probably has a name or effect or theorem, adding the digits and subtracting them from the original number must only result in those numbers listed above. Add a little mumbo jumbo, mix in a little distraction and a bit of creepy reveal music, and BINGO! Mystified.

Actually, it's a shame I figured it out, like a video game already conquered, it's no longer fun.

this is for you JC:
so what you're saying is that if you pick the numbers 81, 72, 66, 63, 59, 54, 45, 36, 34, 27, 22, 18, 9, or 0? because if this is true, then it only works a percentage of the time right? i don't think so because i just tried one of your numbers (54) and it worked, however you said it wouldn't. please explain, i'm so lost with this!

What ever numbers you select will give 81, 72, 66, 63, 59, 54, 45, 36, 34, 27, 22, 18, 9, or 0 because 9+9=18 9+8=17 9+7=16 and
99-18=81 98-17=81 22-4=18 23-5=18 etc so only thos numbers need to change at the push of each start buttom

i know how it works. look....when u pick a number put the two numbers in it together u get a small number you draw from the number u choosed and then get another number and hooojj tad dam....they have calculated all the numbers and checked what numbers came and then they put the same picture on all those number and when u do this u only get one of those choosen numbers....try pressing anything and in the end write all the numbers with the simpol that cam down and try again then u will see that all the same numbers have only changed simpol but they are all wit the same

I've created an image ( http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/9159/mysticballvw8.jpg ) so it would be better illustrated the simple truth behind the Mystical Ball. As you can see, ONLY 9 NUMBERS are the possible result from the calculating. Look at the symbols next to this numbers and you can see that THEY ARE SAME ( http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/455/mysticball2id8.jpg ) . Each click on the "try again" button, changes the symbol next to THE 9 NUMBERS, but yet it's same one for all THE 9 Numbers. That's it... No mind reading :)

its really simple how this thing works.... when you look at the list of numbers you will notice that alot of them have the same symbol.... this is no coisidence. when you put any of the numbers into the equation you will get a given set of results. for example lets use 45. okay 4+5=9 so subtract 9 from from 45 and you get 36.
now lets use another number say..... 74. okay 7+4=11 and subtract 11 from 74 you get 63. now notice that 36 and 63 have the same symbol. once agian with 99. 9+9=18 now 99-18=81 and presto it has the same symbol. given that when all numbers are put into the equation you get an answer from a set of numbers that all have the same symbol. hope this helps PEACE

it does not matter what number u come up with it will always be divisible by 9 (hint) multiples of 9 have the same symbol (the ones that r not divisible by 9 but have the same symbol is just to fool u)

and there u have it solved its a math thing
